Can you still ovulate a week & 1/2 before your period is due?

Can you still ovulate a week & 1/2 before your period is due?
I still havent ovulated....have had a "+ "ovulation test now for 6 days straight without it turning negative..so i guess that means egg hasnt released...im due to start my period in about 12-14 days..

2.) Ive heard the later it implants in your cycle, the higher chance of miscarriage? is that true too?

I ovulate on cycle day 15 and I only have an 11 day luteul phase, so the answer to your question is yes. Have you done this before in  previous cycles where you've gotten a positive OPK that many days? I've heard that getting that many could be a sign of pregnancy already or PCOS. And for question number two, not necessarily, it depends on how long your luteul phase is. If you ovulate late in your cycle and you have a luteul phase of less than 10, it can increase your chances of miscarriage but many women have carried their babies to term with a short luteul phase. Most that do are aware of there luteual phase defect and start progesterone pretty quickly to make sure their little beans stick. I would take a HPT if I were you because you may have ovulated earlier and could in fact already be preggo!!

Yes you can ovulate later in your cycle.  As for question two...if you have a luteal phase defect (meaning you luteal phase istoo short) it can adversly affect getting pregnant.  It's also possible to have an anovulatory cycle (meaning you DON'T ovulate at all) and still have your period.  12-14 days before your period is due is a healthy amount of time to ensure proper implantation if you were to ovulate and fertlize an egg. Anything shorter than that may be a luteal phase defect.

One thing that can help you accurately pin point your ovulation/fertile time is to chart your basal body temperature.  OPK's only tell you there is a CHANCE that you are going to ovulate...they can not determine that you actual have or will.  BBT charting can tell you that you DID in fact ovulate on a certain day.  While it doesn't give you a heads up and let you know ahead of time, you will learn to see a pattern of when you ovulate.  By using a combo of opk's and bbt you can predict when you might ovulate and then confirm that you in fact did.  Good luck!

i dont know about question number 2 but are your cycles always regular? if they're irregular sometimes then you might not be due to start your period when you think you are and this could be because ovulation was delayed for some reason.
if you haven't ovulated then you wouldn't be pregnant.
