Canesten while pregnant????????

Hi Gilrs

Help desperately needed here (this is unbearable)

Well ive had thrush twice since ive been PG (before i knew i was expecting) and i took the oral capsule the first time (begining dec) and the pessary the second time (end of dec)

However...... the blasted thing is back with a vengance. Ive just spoken to my GP who advised only to use the cream for external thush but what the heck do i do for the internal problem???

This is unbearable!!!! :(

Is it really that dangerous to use the pessary or Oral Tablet at 10 weeks????? xx

I would talk to your OB and see if maybe they can treat you for it.... If not call your GP back and tell them that your uncomfortable and you need some relief! Your dr. knowing that you are pregnant is not going to prescribe anything that might hurt the baby. Keep us posted and I am so sorry your uncomfortable... :-) *HUGS TO YOU*

Well check at the docs but i had the same when i was about 10 weeks and my doc said it was fine to use the pessary and the cream and it cleared it right up and baby is fine as am now 18 weeks. Hope this helps xx

I could only speak to the duty doc and he said just to use the cream. He said if i go to the chemists after work i can get it free of charge. Do you think the pharmacist will be able to advise if anything else is safe????
