I was quite offended.
My doc is all one for saying "dont worry or feel ashamed, its completely normal" but some random says i probably have Aids.
Thanks for that lol
I had thrush in my mouth when I was preggers. NO, I don't have HIV LOL!! I can't believe someone responded with that.
I was really quite taken aback - its not that i have anything against those who are HIV + but to automatically associate a common yeast infection with Aids is a joke lol
Good Lord...some people can be so clueless.....I see thrush at the hospital ALL the time! Generally oral....VERY common......We get very few HIV patients on my floor, but when we have, I've never once seen one with thrush.....Not to say that it doesn't happen, I'm just saying that of all of the cases that I've seen personally, none have had HIV!
I posted this question on the Prenancy 35+ forum too and found myself laughing at this reply by one inorant poster
"Hi the only time ive heard of Thrush is when a person is HIV positive?
I worked in a Medical Ward with Hiv and Aids pateince, Have you been checked for that?
Not saying you have it but its very common in that.. "
I NEVER ASKED FOR THE CAUSES OF THRUSH!!!!!!
Its a yeast infection which is VERY coomon in pregnancy and is caused by a hormone imbalance.
I simply asked if anyone had used the pessary treatment when expecting
Am i wrong to find this incredibly rude or are my hormones just causing me to take offence???
Hey there, dont worry everything should be fine.i was told at my doctors not to use one, I then went to hospital for a check up and they told me that that it would be fine, as long as i was careful when inserting it not to put it too far.
