I just had my second baby and I chose not to get a changing table this time around. I have a plastic roll pad that I lay down on my bed and change her on that. I haven't really felt ver inconvenienced by not having one.
My mom's bf is making us one that doubles as a dresser, otherwise I wouldnt buy one, it will just be convenient for us to change him/her upstairs
I have one now. It was my nieces. I LOVE it. I have it in my daughters room though cuz she has extra room for it (plus im always in there). Im due in a month but i just like it cuz i told my daughter she can use the bottom two shelves for toys but the top is for her brother. I feel like its kinda the first step of her being a big sister. I dont really plan on using it unless i am right in there with him... But i still love it. Plus, it matches my crib perfectly. So, it will go to my moms after he gets bigger or she doesnt use it.
Never had a changing table for my son, I always just laid a towel down on couch or floor if it was a poopy diaper and didn't lay anything down if just pee, def won't be getting one this time either!
Lol! Babies in baskets. But that's what I've done! Got wipes and diapers and cream and stuff for downstairs and one for upstairs! Handy handy.
Um i meant to add that the baskets will have diapers and wipes stuff like that not that im putting the baby in the basket lol
Im going to go to Michael's and get a couple of those cute wicker baskets with fabric liners and make a changing basket for our room and the living room which should be fine
The pack n play I have has one but I've only used it once & my daughter is 4 weeks old
I got a pack and play with a bassinet/changing table and I think I only changed his diaper on it once because I was gonna give him a bath
Interesting... I'm used to cleaning up "adult poops" so the idea of a baby poop is just kinda funny to me. I've never really baby sat infants so I'm unfamiliar with this process ;)
I always use mine ...lol i feel like im the only one now...
I usually just buy one of the playpens that come with the bassinet part and the change table it's all compact and I found I used it all the time as it was in my living room :)
My family always used changing tables so im sure i will too. Maybe not for every diaper change but i know for sure the poopy ones.
Its deff not nessicary, but after working in a daycare I just like having order and a specific spot for everything...then again if I hadn't found a really nice one for $30 then I would have just gone without
I don't have one, not planning on it either. Just a changing pad and my bed or the floor will do!
I've had 3 babies & never used one. Don't plan on getting one this time either. When you are so tired from feedings or baby is screaming the diaper gets changed where ever possible.
I got one with my first pregnancy, never touched it, it was used as a shelf, definitely didn't get one this time!
Awesome! You all have made up my mind! Thanks!!!
I'm only getting one because my boyfriend's sister is giving us one for free. Honestly, a towel or blanket on the floor could do the same trick.
We were given one for our son and used it for about 3 months lol then it just collected clutter. No changing table this time!
I originally really liked the cribs with the attached changing table and thought it was awesome... Now I'm leaning towards not getting one at all.
lol yeah this is something I havent even thought about, it just seems inconvenient and unnecessar.
I got one just because it was 20 bucks on craigslist, but I wasn't planning on it.
Lol that's what I'm thinking! Any other thoughts out there ladies?
