oh boy!  I almost forgot about this!!!

Yes, I remember waking up with the urge to point & streach my toes.  It would hurt horribly!

I had them like that almost every night for a week then I talked to my Dr. He advised me to take calcium and with in 3 days they were gone. Only came back when I would forget to take my calcium for a few days.

I'm still taking calcium so they don't happen. I'm breastfeeding and still need the added calcium to prevent leg cramps.

I couldn't walk straight for about 4-5 days once because my leg hurt so bad.

Oh man I had that happen to days ago too and it still hurts!!  I'm 24 weeks pregnant. Also learned the painful way do not point your toes ever ever ever only flex them otherwise your asking for a calf cramp :(. I'll try bananas. I've heard calcium helps too

I used to get that ALL THE TIME. NEVER point your toes once woken up... always point them towards your face. not down. I know exactly what your talking about. As long as its not RED. then you just strained your muscle thats all.... I had that happen and my leg hurt for a WEEK.

First off OMG!!! I havenet seen you in forever!! Your pregnant and giving birth soon!! wow! congrats!! I had that same problem at the end of all my pregnancies. Eat bananas it helps:) I think its caused from lack of pottasium. Dont rub it or massage it out. Just put your foot on a flat cool surface and stand staight flexing your leg and it should go away. They are very uncomfortable!! The first time I got one I woke DH up screaming in pain! You are almost done and hopefully will never get another pain in your calf:)
