Child leashes?

How do u feel about putting your child on a child leash like the ones they sale at walmart that look like a backpack and you can hold the other part in your hand? Im thinking about buying some i need to start going grocery shopping by myself and i have four children under the age of four who love to run around like crazy.

Yes by the time your children are 3/4 they will know how to act when it in public (if parented properly) but what 2year old can fully understand the concept of, walking nicely, behaving and staying safe?! Not many. So i would definitely use a harness/reins -(as  we call them here in UK,). And i personally would rather use them then take the risk or have them still in a stroller

id rather use one of those than my child running off and getting hit by a car or watever. or even worse someone snatching ur child. uv got alot of young children and u cant have eyes everywhere, i think its safer for the child. once the child is old enuf and understands then i dont agree but till then its our jobs as mummies to protect our little ones as we live in a sick world sometimes.

Well when I was younger in a house hold of five, we held onto the shopping cart. We didn't act a fool in public if we wanted to go in public. My SIS in law also has a house hold of five and she keeps track of them perfectly fine without a leash. And yes we all held hands the oldest would be on the outside and youngest (which was me) held my moms hand. It's not that hard. Like I said I didn't mean to offend its just my personal opinion. Whatever is easier for you.

Well personally, I don't think its right to use them. However if I had 6 kids with another on the way, it may be a different story. lol.

I used one when my daughter was younger. I child can let go of a hand an run off but with a child leash they can't. People are going to look at you crazy but as long as you know where your kid is it doesn't matter. They are your kids and with so many it so young I'm sure its hard keeping up with them so I would leash them.

My personal opinion, and I'm sorry if I offend anyone, I think it would be just as easy to hold their hand. I feel like the backpack things are like leashes for animal and no way will I treat my child like a dog!

I don't see the problem with them. It's not as if they have a collar on or anything! My little sister used to be attached with reins (that's what we used to call them in UK).

Yes, you will get a lot of dirty looks and comments. I used one with my daughter when we went to the zoo or fair, and there were plenty of nasty looks. However, I knew where my child was at all times and didn't have to worry about her getting taken. I just bought one for her, and let her wear it around the house for a few days, holding the other end so she wouldn't fight getting it on when we went out. I personally like them, very convenient and reduces anxiety for mom. :)

I haven't had my baby yet and she will be my first but I like the thought of them and actually plan on using one when my baby is older my husband drag races so it'll be nice to have when we go to the track because cars are everywhere its not like its around the neck lol I say go for it for the safety of your children

I don't think I would ever use one, but I currently only have one child, so I don't feel like I can comment. I think that if you feel they would help you maintain control, then go for it. I really can't think of any other way to keep four children under four calm and near you in a grocery store. I would suggest shopping at the stores slowest times. That is always a plus when you have kids. Good luck!
