Complicated question

So it's a really long story but basically, I'm having issues with one of my friends. Before I got pregnant she was pregnant twice and miscarried both times, and now that I'm pregnant I feel like my friend is living out her pregnancy dreams through me. She already had it in her mind the second she found out about my baby that she was the god mother, without me asking, which kind of put me in a weird place cause some of her life choices; she does drugs, a lot harder than the pot we used to smoke in high school, she's in a mentally abusive relationship, and she just has no goals in life. She just not the type of person I want helping me with raising my child. My question is, how do I break it to her without breaking her heart and ruining our friendship?

You can also say that you are choicing someone within your family as a god mom because if something did happen to you the state would give the baby to a family member first before a god parent and you want to make sure you know who will be looking after your child.

Just tell her you don't do the whole God mother thing. That's what I told a friend of mine the first time. And if she is into hard drugs, unfortunately she might not even be around when the babies born, for her own reasons. Friends change when it comes to friends moving on with their lives
