Confused

last thursday i had blood work to find my hcg level was at 76.6. that number does not match up to how pregnant i should be according to the first day of my last period...(November 29) on sunday my blood was taken again and my hcg levels were 194.6. My ob said that that was normal for three days in between and that my levels went up appropriatly. But shes still concerned because of my period date...why? if the levels are going up why would she be concerned. could i be miscarrying and still have my levels go up? Im scared and she says all i can do is wait but why make me nervous it doesnt seem to me like i should be. Could i have ovulated later?

why do they always go by two weeks after your period.

HCG levels can vary so greatly in pregnancy that it should be okay. You probably ovulated way later than you thought. But the fact your HCG is doubling in this amount of time is wonderful!

ok...keep me posted! It's pretty common to have slight pains or cramping early on in pregnancy.

Are you going to get your levels tested again to make sure they continue to rise properly? You could have just ovulated later. I would wait and get a repeat test, and then schedule an u/s. Your dates could just be a little off. It's happened before! If you were miscarrying, your levels would be going down and you would start to experience cramps or bleeding.
