I'll have to remember this. :P it hasn't been that big of a problem to me, especially now.. but if i have to worry ab out it later i'll remember the colace since everyone seems to really like it, so thanks. =] and looks like you've got a saviour, kris. haha. :)
Oh no, lol:) That sounds awful and really isn't funny--especially after a csection! Thanks for the advice and I will be extra careful to get the right thing. I can't wait to have some relief....
yep....but remember to be VERY careful and make sure its not the laxative one.....they gave me that one at the hospital after my csection to get me going....WOW I was running...or more like hobbling myself to the bathroom every 5 mins...lol
Thanks for the info:) I am definitely going to look for that tomorrow...............you can get it over the counter right??
The best thing seriously is the colace...it was a godsend for me in my 1st pregnancy and it worked so well, i automatically took in my 2nd pregnancy to avoid the unbreable pain i was in before the colace the 1st time. There are 2 though, colace sofetner and colace laxative..you dont want the laxative....but seriously, look into it...its awesome!
I sure hope so--I just got freaked out for a minute! I only had one drink earlier after he got it, but the actual label says "Natural Fiber Laxative" and is compared to Metamucil so surely it's fine. I know I am not supposed to take actual laxatives, but it says that on the label??? Confusing!
I don't see why they would be harmful at all, it's just natural fiber, right? but I wouldn't really take this long term unless you've of course asked your doctor about it, but until you are able to speak with them and find a better solution, it should be okay to help bring you some relief.
Thank you sooooo much--I still haven't been able to go since earlier:( That is the strangest feeling!!! My other half went and bought me a fiber powder to mix with water and drink, but no improvement yet. I will look into that colace:) Thanks!!!!!
**Are these fiber suppliments okay?
Yep, and eat things with lots of fiber, to help prevent it in the future. I hope you feel better.
My doctor told me to take colace. Make sure you get colace, not a laxatve! I take 1 every morning and it really helps!! Prune juice will work too, just don't drink too much, it could give you diarhea. Good luck.
Thank you:) I wish you the best of luck and keep us posted! I'm going to get off here and try some natural methods................
thank you so much, I really hope I am. bless you! and feel better!
I'm soooo sorry that happened to you:( I have one son and I know I had constipation then too--you just tend to forget things like that over time! Besides pregnancy I am never constipated and I'm glad because its no fun. I read your other post and I bet there still may be a chance you are pregnant:) I will say some prayers for you!
I bet, i started getting like that at about 6 or 7 weeks with my first pregnancy. leading to a m/c, so I'm so sure, maybe your doc can prescribe something to make you a little more comfortable.
Yeah, I need to try something! It's very uncomfortable:(
maybe try eating a lot of fruit...
