Contractions

I am 39w4d and have been having a really sharp and painful shooting pain that goes right through my whoo-haw for the past 2 days.  I started to not feel very good last night around supper time, then today around supper I got these pains again.  I've had them off and on before but they seemed to go away shortly afterwards.  However, today it just seems like it keeps coming back.  I think I am getting some real contractions as my entire belly gets hard and my back starts to ache and I feel a little crampy.  It almost feels like I really have to pee sooooo bad, but when I go very little comes out and I just feel better sitting with my legs apart (sorry TMI).

Do you think labour is around the corner or does it sound more like BH?

well.... I definitely haven't lost my plug yet and the baby has still not dropped....

I still don't feel right - we'll see how tonight goes.  I sure hope they are real contractions.

I'm having the same thing at 39 weeks 1 day and just lost my mucus plug so hopefully we both go tonight =)

It sounds like you might be having real contractions.  Time them and if you get more than 6 an hour head to L &D
