Corpus Luteal Cyst

I am 5 weeks pregnant and I have been having severe pain on my lower right abdomin.  I went to emerg and they did and ultrasound and told me that my I had a corpus luteal cyst that had ruptured.  I have been reading books on this and I found out that the corpus luteal nurishes the baby until the placenta is developed at about 10 -12 weeks.  What does this mean for me?  Will I have a miscarriage because the embryo is not getting nurishment?
Please let me know, thanks.

Good info, tarajanes! After I wrote what I did I realized I was mistaken and have only just gotten back on to comment again.

Definitely get your progesterone checked. You will probably need supplementation until week 12-14.

Corpus luteal does nourish the baby until the placenta takes over, there are many people who believe placenta takes over at 6-8 weeks, however from what my doctors have said,(have to say each is different) 12 weeks is the general, since corpus luteal is producing progesterone in order to substain a pregnancy.when women are told they have a low progesterone level and placed on suppositries until the 12 week..have the doctors said you will mc,i would advice you ask for your progesterone levels to be checked..

The placenta develops around week 4-6 actually.
