Thats true!!!! Thats a really good way to put it, as in how many wks you have left, instead of just saying when your due.

I know how you feel I'm in my 8th month at 31 weeks, people really look at me funny when I say I'm in the 8th month but due april 2nd.  So I have started saying I have 9 weeks left, easier for them to understand.  I think if you haven't thought about it before most people don't realize a term pregnancy of 40 weeks is 10 months not 9!

I use chantels' method too. It's easiest for me to remember and easier to explain to other people. Sure, us preggos use weeks (and our dr's too) but regular people want to know months. That's what society has taught them. It's hard to explain that you are 8 months preggo in January, but baby isn't due till April. I am 25 weeks (almost 26) and I tell people I am about 6 1/2 months pregnant or I just reached 6 months. That's easier for them to understand that I am due at the begining of May. Now that I am within counting days I tell people that I am about 100 days away from meeting my little girl! That helps for them to put it in perspective too.

So, julian, just say you are about 6 or 6 1/2 months pregnant. People won't question your due date or think you are whacko! LOL! :)

It is confusing, but I always use weeks because it is more accurate. so every 4 weeks (starting from you LMP) is a month. This is how I understand it, pretty much like alaysha explained it. I always thought it was strange to count from your LMP because that adds 2 extra weeks that you weren't even pregnant, it's strange, but oh well! So I just figure, when I am 16 weeks, I am officially 4 months. I am 17 weeks, so I am 4months and 1 week.
20 weeks=  5 months
24 weeks= 6 months
28 weeks= 7 months and so on.

You are 25weeks, so you are 6 months and 1 week. Right? Or maybe I'm confused?!? lol

You are a week into your 6th month.

1-3 and 6 days month 1
4-7 and 6 days month 2
8-11 and 6 days month 3
12-15 and 6 days month 4
16-19 and 6 days month 5
20-23 and 6 days month 6
24-27 and 6 days month 7
28-31 and 6 days month 8
32-35 and 6 days month 9
36-40 month 10

Each month starts on the last day. So 10 months starts at 40 weeks and month 1 starts at 4 weeks.
