Hey, I'm on the depo shot currently and for about 3-4 weeks I've been having pregnancy symptoms such as, cramming, nausea, cravings, hip and back pain, fatigue, and having to pee frequently. I've also had a very strong blood like smell whenever I pee. These symptoms started happening a few days after I had sex with my fiance(in which we don't use protection). I've also taken two home pregnancy tests and both were negative. What my question is, could I still be pregnant even though both were negative and should I take another test, or is the depo shot the cause of all of this?
It would be unusual to fall pregnant on the depo it is pretty effective...it took me a full year AFTER coming off it to fall pregnant... Wait a week or so and test again, perhaps speak to a doctor about your concerns. Its hard to say, it has failed for some people, I would say for more of us it makes falling pregnant tricky even after we stop taking it.
It could be the deli, I would check tho with a doc for a bloo test bc my sister got pregnant on the depo and didn't know she was preg for 3 months she had no signs at all in fact when she found out she was 1 week away from getting her tubes tied so u can get pregnant from the depo for sure and a urine test couldn't detect her's until 3 months she did take 3 test they were negative the 3rd month she took 1 it was positive she went to get a blood test she ws already 3 months!!!! She took test bc she said something just didn't feel right and she didn't know what it was.
