Could I be pregnant?

Hope someone has had experience with this before.  I was using the Nuva Ring and had my period on July 20th/08.  Then had my week off the ring and then I inserted another ring on July 26th/08.  I removed the ring July31st/08.  (yes i stopped mid cycle)  I had sex before I removed the ring plus after it was out on the 31st, 1st, 2nd, 3rd.  Then on August 4th I had some spotting.  It was brownish in color and then changed to a light pink.  There was some red mixed with CM but not much.  It was very light and not a normal flow.  Just was there when I went to the bathroom.  Anyway that lasted for 4-5 days and then stopped.  That would have been possibly 4 dpo.  I was wondering if anyone had stopped birth control mid cycle and then got pregnant right away?  I am not sure if what I experienced was Implantation spotting or breakthrough bleeding and if I am still due my period on August 16th?  My boobs have been very sore, more sore then when AF is coming and my nipples are so sensitive.  I have been extremely tired and moody.  Plus I have had more frequent headaches.  Not sure if those are all signs from stopping Nuva Ring mid cycle or not.

Just wondered if anyone had what they thought was breakthrough bleeding after stopping birth control and it turned out to be implantation?  Or if it is possible that it was breakthrough bleeding but I could still be pregnant?

Thanks!  Yeah I figure that it may take a bit to get back on track.  However in the past going off birth control I usually getregular right after.  But stopping mid cycle can mess you up.  The hardest part will be waiting to see if I get AF on the 16th or not.  And if I dont it just may mean I am delayed because of the change from the Ring or pregnant.  I will wait it out.  Has anyone ever heard of this all happening and someone still ending up pregnant?

You can get pregnant fairly soon after taking the ring out.. even mid cycle, HOWEVER most womens bodies take about a month to get regular enough to ovulate. With Birth Control that week you take the ring out your body doesn't ovulate it's actually just break thru bleeding. This was according to my OBGYN when I was on Nuvaring for 3 months.

Oh great waiting a month will be fun!  hahaha.  Last time I got pregnant I had waited until my full month of birth control was up, this time I just stopped after having it in for 5 days.  Stupid really, should have just waited but I couldn't.wait anymore, too excited.
Was off birth control and the second month off I got pregnant, so i guess I have high hopes of that happening again.

Thanks!!

if you havent put your ring back in... your af will probobly be delayed. probably even for up to another month while your cycle streightens out. but no doubt that you could have gotten pregnant after the spotting or even still up until you do get your af. so yes, now it is a waiting game. i hope it works out for you however your wanting it to tho!

Thanks for the responses, I figured it may be from the removal of the ring, but it is so hard to say.  Usually when I get spotting or breakthrough bleeding it will be heavy and last until my period is due.  But it stopped.  So I guess it is the waiting game, of course after the spotting we had sex again so I guess it is possible even then to get pregnant.  We have a 7 year old and I forgot the feeling of it being pregnant.  I will wait and see what happens in a few more days, wondering if I should still be due for my period or if it will now be delayed because of the spotting.  That is the part that will get me curious I guess!!  I am pretty sure I was ovulating because of the CM.  But yet again hard to say!

i was on the nuva ring for years and i actually became pregnant on it. but this is what i know about it. you can take the ring out for up to three hours and still be covered. and if you put a new ring in for even a few hours then take it out, you will bleed 2-3 days later, it basically triggers an early period. i had done this once and only had the ring in for about 3 hours and then decided i wanted to stop my birth control for awhile and i did bleed after and actually bled longer than i normally did on a period. but i have also heard but am not too sure how accurate it is,that you O immediately after you remove the ring. take a test just to be sure!

You won't know until you take a test. You can take a pregnancy test when your period is due! Most bleeding, when coming off birth control, is related to the birth control. BUT... it's very possible you became preggo, too. Time will tell! Good luck!!!
