Could i be pregnant?

I have had 3 children and my tubes are tied, just a standard tubal procedure, not cut and burned. I have re-married and yes we want to have them undone and have a child together, just not right now. However, I have had real weird symptoms lately...extremely moody, cry at the drop of a hat, and stomach is sore and hard when i suck it in. I had a normal period in the middle of all of these symptoms and thought that was the cause of it, but it is worse since my period. I took a home test and it was negative. Now 7 days later, i have light pink spotting for just a short few hours and now nothing. I have no severe pain, i just feel really weird like something isn't right. Could i be pregnant or just wishful thinking?

It is possible for you to get pregnant after having your tubes tied. I read that 1 to 2 % of women that get a tubal ligation end up pregnant afterward. So, yes, it can be possible.

I actually had a Pt. once (I work in L&D) who had her tubes tied AND her husband had a vasectomy many years ago - and they got pregnant! So it IS possible, but if YOU are pregnant or not I don't know. I would either wait a few more days and get another preg. test (I would use the digital pregnant/not pregnant one) or get and appointment for a blood test. Good luck! :)

I do know that it is possible to get pregnant with your tubes tied, and the light pink spotting could very well be implantation bleeding... I would call your doctor and request a blood test to determine if you are indeed pregnant.

I really have no idea what to tell you other than check with your doctor.  It never hurts to find out.  But I do know several people who have gotten pregnant after having there tubes tied.  So it may be possible.
