Baby is more likely to suffocate in bed with u that sleeping on its own as long as there arent loose toys and blankets etc near its face

:/ having baby sleep in the bed with you when theyre new is the most common reason for SIDS. Thousands of babies die every year while in bed with their parents, blankets smother them, they overheat, body weight makes them roll etc. It is way way wayyyy safer to have.bub in a bassinette or crib/cot. Many baby stores sell foam thingys that baby slots into to keep them cozy and in a safe sleeping position.

I bought a mini crib and he's sleeping in our room. I have a bassinet, but I'm going to give it to my sister so her baby can sleep in her room for the first couple of months.

We put our daughter in a bassinette for a while, then to her crib. We're doing the same with our son. Buy one of those little pads where they're elevated slightly to make sure they don't turn over. Or choke on their spit up. It'll make you feel so much better.

I'm doing both :) ill have him in the room with me at night but in the day time he will b in his bed and when he gets too big for the bassinet ill just move him to his bed I've been looking at the crib i am getting since i got pregnant for the first time that was when i was 17 nd I'm 19 now so it hasn't been recalled yet so I'm not concerned at all :) its at target its really pretty too i love it i saw it on display so i got a good look at it :D i think its best to get them used to being in a bed during the day so its easier to get them out of the bassinet when they grow out of it :) just an idea

I am having the hardest time with that too. I wanted a bassinet from the begining but then I see the cribs and think what is going to last a long while. So unsure
