omg ive never heard of that i no quite a few girls that have had them and are all ok now like.. feel sorry for your friends must be hard on them
I know a couple of women who had abortions in their teens/early twenties, both of whom are still childless because of this problem. One has miscarried several times, including a 5-month old fetus because her cervix is just too weak to keep the baby in. It's a shame, because both really want children now that we're heading towards our mid-thirties.
yea its intresting I can see how it could maybe effect future pregnancies but yeah id say m/c and d&c would have just the same effects!!.. i suppose it all depends but no id never heard until that post either!!
even when you have a d&c due to a miscarriage , they get you to sign saying that your aware of the problems/damage that can occour to your cervix due to the proceedure
I had never heard this until that post either...but i can only wonder because i had an abortion 20 years ago and had lots of issues keeping my daughter in my body long enough for her to be born healthy...that being said i also have severe PCOS...so i cant really say what caused all my issues. My drs knew about my abortion and neither of them brought it up as a reason for my incompetant cervix or pre-term labor...
its more because of the damage that can be done to your cervix, as if you can imagine doing abortion after abortion some practioners/clinics can get abit careless and there can be complications with an incompetant cervix, thats where the problems arise with later pregnancies I think
