yes maybe you are right, i cant get my head around it really. i had an affair with someone and even though he didnt *** inside me i keep thinking the date points to him. and i have had a scan and even though you cant tell from them my picture is so clear you wouldn't believe, and i keep thinking does it look like him. i cant sleep or be happy as i keep thinking how horrible i am. and to top it off we live in the same town and everyone knows everyone..

I agree with alaysha. My due date was off by 3 weeks from my lmp because i have really long cycles.  If all the scans say you are the same gestation then relax, everything is fine. You may have had you last period on the date you think but just ovulated late which would put your due date behind what you thought.

Like rippedonscotch said, if you get an ultrasound during the first trimester it is the most accurate because during that time ALL baby's develop at the same rate. After that babies start developing at their own rate and based on many factors they can get an inaccurate reading. It sounds like you are about 14/14.5 weeks. If you don't know the date of your last period it doesn't matter. You could have ovulated late.

If it was dated before 12 wks it is the most accurate.   They use the scan because even though you may know your date of your last cycle that doesn't tell you when you actually ovulated or when the implantation actually occured.

Ya. She healed quickly. We just celebrated her 8th birthday yesterday. :) and they sure do grow different. I'm 8 weeks and measuring just over 12 weeks. I gotta wait till my scan on the 11th of April to find out why. Lol

They told me I was two weeks behind with my first. But I assured them my dates where right so they didn't adjust my due date according to my scan. I was due on the 17th of March and my daughter was born on the 22 of march. They ended up inducing me because I was small and the baby was rather big for my frame. She was born at 8.2 with no vernix at all. Fat rings on all her limbs. And skin so dry it was cracked and bleeding within two hours after being born. Then they said she was at least two weeks late. And at 5 months prego the scan said two weeks behind. So the scan can be wrong.

How did you come up with 16 weeks if you don't know when your last period is? Scans are normally pretty spot on but can be off by a few days.

The scans are usually pretty accurate when determining the babies gestational age. I wouldn't worry and just go by the scan. That's why its really important to keep track of your cycles.
