Did you say anything off the wall during birth?

For those of you have already had a kid or kids...do you remember saying anything "off the wall" during labor?  Especially if you had a natural birth?  Just curious...I remember my then 7 yo telling me she could hear me in the waiting room screaming at the top of my lungs to "GET IT OUT" along with some other things I probably don't remember.  I was a little embarassed after that one :)

when I had my almost 4 yr old daughter, the epi didnt work for me.... I was in the middle of a horrible contraction when a nurse got right in my face and started to speak to me in spanish.... I screamed get this BI*** away from me!!! (My husband is spanish and at the time my spanish was limited) Never mind the fact I was in excruciating pain at the time! When her head began to crown I was screaming at the top of my lungs ITS BURNING ITS BURNING GOD ITS BURNING and telling everyone after her shoulders passed if she was a fish! LOL I swear thats what it felt like after she flopped out! lol omg! With my son I was in HEAVEN the epi worked GREAT that time! The nurses told me I was a born pusher.... lol I said dont tell my DH he'll want more!  I apparently called all of my family 4/5 times to tell them I had my son! When my I talked to my grandma the next day she asked if I remembered calling her? I called her and told her the exact play by play of my delivery 5 times. She said she just laughed and listened! Now I am with baby #3 and hoping for anothe experience like that one!!!

That happened to my sister!  She blamed it on everyone around her... she had to finally lift the covers to confirm that, infact, it was HER!!  =)  I am laughing so hard I have tears rolling down my face!

Thanks for that!  I needed a good laugh today!

I am loving reading these stories. I think G8r's was the funniest one yet. DH has said something to me about it too a few times and while it would be quite embarassing, I don't think I'll really care. That won't be the highlight of my day that day!

I'm still laughing. Keep 'em comin'!

hehe, i don't know if i've ever crapped on the table or not.  Never cared enough to ask.  I figure the people (docs/nurses) in that room have pretty much seen it all.  Besides if I get it all out then, I won't be wasting valuable bonding time later while I'm doing it :)

As many times as I've been pregnant and delivered I don't really think there's much of anything that COULD embarass or humiliate me.

I was so scared of doing that! My husband made fun of me for my entire pregnancy saying that I was going to poop on the table. When I first started pushing my husband got a funny look on his face and I screamed at him "what!! am I cra*ping?!" and he said no. I didn't believe him so I looked at the nurse and yelled "he's lying! tell me the truth am I cra*ping!?"....I was so paranoid about it! Luckily, I didn't :) And that I know for sure because I watched the whole thing.

OMG ROTFLMAO!!!! I really hope I don't poop the table. UGH and I plan on an EPI. But god, I'll probably do some of that same stuff. except... it'll probably be to tell my family to F*** off. lol, I don't watch my mouth when I'm mad or in bad pain. but I handle pain well.

I was induced two weeks early with my son. My husband had been out of town for 6 weeks for work (I swear he planned to miss the last 6 weeks of my pregnancy) so I had to drive myself to the hospital. He came back to town that night and they began inducing me. Everything was great, until they broke my water and the contractions started. They say that it hurts worse when you're induced, and they're not kidding! My contractions were so bad and were less than a minute apart. The doctor came in at 11:30am and said "you should have the baby by midnight." All I could think was "THAT'S 12 FREAKIN' HOURS AWAY!!!"  I tried to manage for a little longer because I didn't want to be a baby about it, but I lasted another 20 minutes and then pushed the nurse button and said "get me the epidural now!" She came in and said the doctor was on her way to give it to me and I said "like, on her way from another city?! or on her way from another part of the hospital?!" I kept telling my husband "this is it, you're only getting one kid...I'm never doing this again...this is it...I'm done...OMG I'm never doing this again!"

I had my epidural and everything was peachy for the rest of the afternoon:) It was the best decision that I had ever made! We watched a movie and hung out. It was sooo laid back when I was pushing and no one was counting or anything. They told me just to push when I wanted and for how long that I wanted. I would push and then say "wait, that one sucked...I can do better!" I was watching in the mirror the whole time (which was the BEST thing ever because it helps so much to actually see how much progress you're making with different types of pushing). I had my son and while they were still cleaning him off I said "I want to do that again!!!" The nurse thought I was nuts :)

My son is almost three. I was fine most of time felt everything meds. didn't work. But near the end before doctor came in she told me turn on my side and put my leg up it really hurt so I screamed at her and told he put me back on my back. I felt bad it came out of no where. Rest of time I just ate my popicle and pushed lol

I remember telling the dr, i was gonna f'ing kick him in the face unless he took his hand out of me. My son came out face first instead of top of the head first so they had to guide him out. Before that, I wasn't allowed to push because I had a small area that wasn't dilated yet, and to keep myself from pushing....I sang. Boy did I sound drunk lol. Hubby was in iraq at the time, so all I had was my step mom.

I was told at the 20 week mark pregnant with my son, that he was a girl. So when he came out and I seen his twig and berries I told the doc he got some babies confused, that this wasnt mine lol.

I had the epidural, but a walking one. I didnt feel the contractions, but I felt all the pressure, and felt it when the buggers head was out, I even tried to grab his head and yank him out myself lol.

Im not a very pleasant person when im in pain. And to think...I have twins on the way that im going to go all natural with.....i hope.

I had a natural birth.  I don't remember what I said but I do remember that my DH yelled at me during labor.  I also remember the fact that I bit him for it and when his mom came in I had him in a headlock and was choking him.  Man did she walk in at the right time.  Saved both of our lives =)  This time we decided only my mom and MIL will be there with me.  DH is going to stay home with our DD.

When i went with my friend while she gave birth she was screaming, the nurse came in and told her to quieten down, b/c she was SCARING the other mothers. I laughed at the nurse my friend hit me round the head and went to get up screaming "she'd have her son in the parking lot instead as shes DISTERBING everyone else". The this you do for friends. hehe. I'd like to say she hit HARD. and i talked her into staying in the hospital (noone told her yo shut up again).

haha that was too funny lidalbit.  Well I'm with you JOY i didn't make one peep during labor...when I started to from pure frustration I was told by my nurses to out all that energy into pushing....I guess it was good advice b/c he was out in about 20 minutes....my labor was really short also(about 4 hours) and although I didn't say anything my two older brothers arrived and came into visit me when my contractions were very strong and I had to literally make them leave the room....they were trying to cheer me up and kept making me laugh....the pain was horrible and every time my stomach moved from laughing I almost cried.  I think they were pretty surprised I made them leave.

I still coudn't feel anything from the epidural and my stomach was letting out all the air...LOL....I did it again on the nurse when I went to use the bathroom after getting my catheter removed...I was HUMILIATED...but coudn't help it....

I never said anything cause I was on epidurals with c sections on both my girls. Although my oldest, 10 years old today, I went through a good 12 hours of contractions and squeezing my ex husbands fingers to the bone before the nurse talked me into the epidural. Then an hour later I ended up having a c section because once on the pitocin my dd's heartrate dropped to 73. They took me off the pitocin and she went back up to 113 but never higher. I had stopped dilating at 5 1/2 and she was partway in the birth canal. So C-section with her and a scheduled with my second daughter, now 7 1/2 years old. I wouldnt change it for the world though.

With my 14 yr old, I told my mom "I can't do this". She came back with "it's too late to change your mind."

With my 12 yr old, I told the Dr something was wrong. When they put the IV in, all of a sudden I got real hot and was about to pass out. Turn out, it was only fluid in the IV. they hadn't started put meds in me....lol I think my nerves got the better of me....lol

With my 2 1/2 yr old, I had an epidural......I felt nuttin' Heck the Pedi Dr and nurse had to jump up on my bed and use their weight to help push my 9lb13oz bb out because he got stuck.......It didn't even faze me...

My first two, were without epidural, but they were both under 7lbs 4oz

LOL...to be a fly on the wall in a L & D room.  With my middle one (the drug-free birth) My room was the first one on the right inside of L & D...so pretty much the only thing between it and the waiting room was a closet soo... But I remember the nurses making comments about OTHER people making comments bout the noise.  I think I scared the hell out of several other women in labor.  I got to the hospital at 1 am and had my DD at 6:27 am.  Fortunately for me the pushing part was less than 20 minutes...actually I should say fortunate for everyone ELSE around me :)

With my last I had an epidural which I BARELY got in time.  As it was being inserted the baby dropped and the "gotta push NOW" contractions started.  I'm surprised it had time to take effect.  I remember making wise cracks during that labor tho...when the doc on call walked in and sat down at the end of the table I said "OH! YOU must be Dr. Moreno.  Nice to finally meet you" right before he said "push"

With my oldest I had an emergency c-section so I was mildly sedated and numbed.  I was in and out of it in the O. R. but in recovery I was pretty weird.  I remember 2 friends walking in right about the same time that I squeeled " I CAN WIGGLE MY TOES" and I was completely fascinated by that fact...even made everyone WATCH me do it.
I also remember trying to catch a fuzzy that was flying through the air that apparantly only *I* could see.  I must have looked completely bonkers grabbing at something invisibile in mid air.
