I got to 8cm until I couldn't take it anymore. All the labor was in my back so it wasn't too bad, but when they got to the point where it was back to back, I couldn't take it anymore. And i'm usually good at tolerating pain. Some people are diff tho. Some don't feel they are having contractings.
Get informed before you decide.
My Contractions Weren't Painful At All When They Were Natural, But After Pitosin Induced contractions I Was In Tears.
Don't Forget That There Are Other Concerns With AN Epidural Other Than Pain!
Epixural it is lol trying to get an epi Asap
It depends on how you handle pain. Contractions can hit you back to back and overtime they get worse. They feel like really bad period cramps that are like ten times worse. Just keep an open mind and focus on something else besides the pain. I got an epidural at 5cm because I felt like the nurse asked me every 5 mins if I wanted one. But it's totally up to you this pregnancy I'm gonna try and endure the pain.
Labor is so short really compared with motherhood. Contractions do get intense and painful, and honestly, no other experience comes close to what you will experience during labor. But if contractions were so horrible that women absolutely couldn't give birth without pain relief, our species would never have survived. You are stronger than you know.
I Did Natural But It Was Horrible Horrible Pain. In My Back Even. Terrible Pain For Several Hours. I Can't Imagine That It Would Hurt Less. I Took The Pain As To Not Put My Son To Possible Risks With Medicine. Good News....It Stops. You'll Be Fine.
It all depends on your pain tolerance. I didnt get the epidural until 8 cm. It didnt get bad until about 6.
With first pregnancy the best advice I can give to any expecting mum is to keep open minded about pain and pain relief.
I was induced with my first son and had a very long labor - however my second I went naturally and within an hour of my water breaking and 4-5 minute contractions I was 5-6cm dialated and still walking througg my contractions.
Everyone pain threshold is different.
Hope this helps a bit !! :)
