Does cervical mucous change as labour/delivery gets closer?

As many of you have read, my first labour wasn't "natural", in the sense that I was induced.  So I'm not really sure what to look for in terms of signs that my body is actually going to do this on its own this time.

I'm 35 weeks now, not having BH contractions that I can tell....but I have noticed that my CM is more plentiful and thiicker in the last couple of days.  Still clearish in colour.

Does this mean anything?  I'm clueless.....

Nope, not unless you have bloody show. Bloody show reminds me of rubber cement with streaks of blood in it (in varying colors). This is totally TMI but I didn't have any bloody show except this last pregnancy. And there was a ton; I was just pulling it out. I had my baby three days later. Most women, after having bloody show, go into labor within 24 hours.

And as RiotQueen said losing your MP doesn't mean anything. It can grow back.

CM changes all throughout your pregnancy.
Even losing your mucus plug doesn't mean you're going into labor any time soon.
With both of my pregnancies I lost it a month before I had them and never went in on my own.

I was induced with my first and ended up with a c-section. And was gunna try a VBAC with my second and STILL never went into labor even walking around fully effaced and 4 cm dialated and have been having LOADS of irregular labor contractions for 2 week prior. the day I went in for my scheduled c-section at 39 weeks.

Pregnancy, labor and delivery is unpredictable and no one can tell you if you're gunna go soon or not.
It'll happen when it happens so you just gatta hang in there!
Good luck!
