Does the Shettles method actually work?

I have a boy who is turning 1 next month and DH and I want to try for our next one around the same time we concieved Fynn so hopefully the next one will be born when Fynn is two...

I really want a girl soooo bad and my DH family is all boys, like no joke, his side of the family has no girls, I feel like he might only have boy sperm...haha....is that possible?

So I will try anything to concieve a girl and was wondering if anyone had feedback that was trying for a girl and had a girl!

i had sex 2 days before i was due to ovulate when i got preg with my daughter

i have also heard of other methods that make the vagina more favorable for female sperm than male (in the land of google of course)....

best of luck

Idk...We had sex the day before and the day of ovulation, because I wanted to try for a boy. DH told me while we were ttc that he didn't want a boy, that he wanted a girl. He even went so far as to say he only makes girls. I wanted a boy to carry on the name, and I had such trouble getting pregnant, that I just wanted a boy in case I couldn't have another. Lexi is 100% girl and we did the shettles method for a boy. Didn't work for me, but I wouldn't trade her for anything!

I wish I could remember the diet I used for my daughter. The idea was to make the uterus unfriendly to the boy swimmers. We also tried to time sex farther away from ovulation since the boy sperm don't live as long. We had a girl and then with our next one we were having sex right around ovulation and dh was eating lots of protien and we are pregnant with a boy. I think there may be some logic to timing.
