Thanks ladies!
Stacey10~ I took a pregnancy test and it's BFN. I ovulated with my 2nd son on CD19.
Clysta~ One of the kinds says it's gotta be as dark or darker and then one of the tests says if there is a 2nd line at all then it's positive. That one was a $store kind.
When I was pregnant with my 2nd son I took OPK's and never got close to a positive. It was sheer luck that we DTD 2 days after getting home from vacation about CD19....lol
Do you instructions state whether the entire line has to be as dark, or is it only half of it does. I know on some tests if half is as dark as the control line while others say it has to be a solid line. It's also possible for you to have a positive OPK and then not ovulate, so your body tries again leading to a second positive test. I don't know how often this occurs, but I've seen it happen to a few different ladies.
just to put a spanner in the works, do you know that opk's can give you a positive on a pregnancy as well, so maybe your pregnant and its picked it up, if not then my opks never get any darker than that and I manage to get pregnant either way, good luck :)
Darn, same pic.... I'll have to add more later after hubby goes back to work off lunch break. I wanna spend some time with him and the kids.
Look at my pics as well, I've got new ones up of a comparison of all the OPKS I took and ones of my kiddos as well. :)
Amy8702 I'm looking at your pics now. :)
If you look at my pictures I posted a pic of my OPK's. The darkest one I took as a pos and I am now pg.
positive to me , have healthy and happy pragnancy
to clarify it's an OPK. all my other tests are MUCH lighter.
There will always be a very light line. Women`s bodies do produce the LH hormone all the time, but it produces a lot more when a woman is about to ovulate.
So no, it`s not true that any line at all (faint) means a positive OPK.
Like Clysta said, the test line has to be as dark or darker then the control line. If you read the instructions that come with your OPK`s, you will see that
If that's an OPK then I would say very close to a positive.
If its an HPT then its def positive! I had an OPK like this on CD 14 or 15 and I took it as a positive and I'm now 4w3d
Positive! I took 3 test and were very faint... Sure enough I'm 8w6d. No matter how much the the line is as faint as it could be... Congratz!!!
OPK's don't work that way. The test line has to be as dark or darker than the control line to be positive.
It doesn't matter if ones lighter then the other if there's any line in the positive spot its positive and there are definitely 2 lines Congrats!!
It's an OPK. Its really hard to tell.... to me it looks slightly lighter than the control line, so I would say no it's not positive.
I'm confused is that an OPK or an HPT?
definitely looks positive to me, too!
Looks very positive to me :)
Had to add the pic was upside down but the arrow points to the "Test" line on the right not of the control line.
