Doing the Glucose Test!

Sitting drinking this orange drink doesnt taste as bad as I thought! How was your guys' glucose tests?

The glucose test is you drink a cup of this orange juice thats all sugar (Tasted like orange pop) and you sit there and wait for an hour and then they take your blood to test you for diabetes because it could potentially harm the baby if you have it

The drink itself was ok, I had fruit punch nd my obgyn let me take it home a month before I had to do it so I let it sit in the fridge nd by the time I had to drink it it was nice nd cold. Now the test for me this time was horrible bc I failed nd had to go back for the 3-hour test, which was the worst. Not being able to eat for 10-12 hours before taking the test nd then drinking the drink, which the second time around had more sugar in it, I was dizzy, light headed, nauseous nd starving.....

I'm 17 weeks and finished my test this week. I had to do a 1 hr test. Failed since it came back high then had to go back for a 2 hr test.  Thank God I passed the second time. That was not fun. Plus the girls that took my blood were not that gentle.

I was tested twice. The first test was done early and i passed. The second test was done at the normal time and i failed by 6 points...The orange drink was horrible- the lemon/lime one isn't as bad - never had the fruit punch

I don't remember the test (my youngest is going to b 3 in December)but I know it's not the best tasting. I hold my breath n just get it over with.

I was lucky, I was tested for diabetes while finding out I was pregnant -- avoided the beginning orange juice.

Ive done the orange and the fruit punch and even though they are both awful i would rather have the fruit punch than the Orange any day...

Oh my lord I hate that test lol. I do the fruit punch and while I sit there and get watched I can't help but gag. I got to do the 3 hr one now since my levels came up high-_- But boy I swear I can't stand the drink lol
