My last pregnancy, I was 18 weeks pregnant when we learned that our baby had Down's Syndrome, I was 38. From what I have read our chances of having another Downs Syndrome baby is 1 %. I just turned 39 and have had 2 failed IVF attempts in the past 6 months. During our fertility cycles, I produced 5 eggs the first time and 7 eggs the second time, so, my question is... Does the 1% chance apply to a normal 1 egg drop per cycle? Are my chances of haveing a Downs Syndrome baby higher now since I have used up more eggs, which would have been 12 regular menstrual cycles? Does this make sense?
Thank you!
