I was drug tested at my first visit and tested positive. a couple months later I asked if it was still testing positive even though I hadnt smoked in months. they told me that they test once at the beginning then once at the end.
Each state is different. Most doctors offices have it posted somewhere. At least mine does. And the drug test are random until it shows a positive. Either way they all test the baby when he or she is born.
If you are on government insurance they automatically will drug test you each visit. CPS will be notified if there is drugs in your system consistently. Each urine sample is also to check for UTI, Bacteria, protein, or calcium build up resulting in Kidney stones.
@knufrio I believe your right. They have to let you know before they give it to you.
The strips don't test for drugs the only drug test they do is when u go into labor
They don't always drug test you. I believe by law they have to notify you if they are going to because you have the right to refuse.
Well when they have their baby. DHR will take it.
yea i think its for protien , , Drug test every single.time that dosent make sense. I know mommys to be that do Hard cord drugs n dont go to the dr at all
The pee is also to check and see if you are hydrated drink plenty of water
It's just to check for ketones or protein in your urine. They are worried about preclampsia and diabetes. They also check for bacteria because it is very common in pregnancy and has been linked yo preterm labor.
Here bc of new laws they drug test you.. and they will take your baby
What do you mean? Usually at every visit they will have you pee in a cup. They are checking for signs of infection and for possible protein.
