Early pregnancy cramping?

I'm only 5 weeks pregnant & randomly I will get what feels like period cramps in my lower abdomen. Sometimes it's painful to where I don't want to now. They only last about 10 sec. Is this normal? I don't go to my first dr appt til Friday & I wanna make sure my baby is ohkay

Ugggh I dont know about any of you but my cramps are unbearable feels like im 10+ week instead of 4wees+6 ....

My doctor recommended I try taking unisom to help with my nausea and to help me sleep through the.night since I wake up at least 4 times a night right now. I'm 8wks 5days and just need some relief. You can get it over the counter.

Im 4 weeks and ive started getting them I found that when I had a pee it released pressure and the cramps eased off then ... I know how it feels theyve woke mebup at night sometimes ... x

I had frequent 'period type cramps' from 5-7weeks. It's your uterus stretching. As long as you aren't experiencing any bleeding with these cramps you should be fine. If you are still concerned when you go to your doctors, you can show them where you are feeling cramps and they can explain to you what it most likely is. I'm 17weeks and I've been experiencing pain on the sides of my uterus and showed my doctor. She said that was perfect normal for how far along I am. Still having to do w/ my uterus stretching for the baby! (:

Mild cramping is ok and completely normal even if it hurts a bit if you notice bleeding then call your ob but from the sounds of it it's normal. I had cramping in the beginning it would always really scare me specialy cause I'm a ftm but try to relax you have nothing to worry about so far just get lots of rest! :)

I had cramps like that as well and i asked my doctor and he said it was normal but if it got to bad and i started bleeding then go to the er. I hope this easys ur mind a lil
