Eczema in pregnancy?

Hi ladies. On the verge of attacking my skin with a wire brush lol! Went to the docs nearly 3 days ago as i had a spreading rash with an unbearable itch and the doc says its eczema but not pregnancy related and prescribed a daktacort cream (or something spelt like that) to help ease the itch. Im wondering if the diagnosis is correct as the cream does not seem to be working. If anyone has eczema, or had ever had it, is there ANYTHING that can possibly ease the itch? Im not scratching it as i know it will make it worse but i really need help! Considering going to the out of hours doc to see if anything else can help

Don't scratch it!! I've had severe eczema for over ten years and pregnancy can exacerbate it, and unfortunately there's not much you can take for it. You can take benadryl, and I take a warm bath and use aveeno calming lotion nightly. My legs used to be nothing but open sores and scabs because I scratched it uncontrollably, but the less I scratch the more it seems to go away.
