I didn't take any medication but hunger and thirst can make nausea worse. Eat regularly and try to drink a glass of water whenever you feel the nausea coming on. I was peeing like a racehorse but it helped keep mine at bay!
If you find something let me know! I've tried Zofran, phenergan, phenergan suppositories, reglan, candy, gum, suckers, sea bands, fresca, sprite, ginger ale...nothing works. I just stay miserable. I'm 14 weeks and last monday I counted I had thrown up 10 times that day. Usually it's between 2-4 times, but still. lol. I've lost 17 pounds since the beginning of my pregnancy. Good luck!
You can actually get a Phenergan suppository that goes in the rectum, it's not taken orally therefor you can't throw it up, and it works great and is safe for baby.
my doc gave me a rx for zofran and that helped take the edge off the nausea....also for some crazy reason grapes helped keep my stomach calm and some other fruits....apples and applesauce....bland is what worked for me...oraanges and such did not work
best of luck
Over here in Australia we have something called travacalm. It is a ginger anti nausea tablet. When i was pregnant I took one everyday. Also i have heard drinking a minimum of one glass of water every hour helps the nausea (but increases the need to wee). Also if you are on a pre-natal supplement maybe try a different brand, my nausea always got worse after i took my tablet and apprently that was normal for some unlucky people. Lucky last Vitamin B6 helps with everything from nausea to sore breasts. I hope something in there helps you. Good luck.
I dont have any advise for you:~( I had the same thing with Taylor (my first and only girl, lol) It was like 24 flu! I couldnt keep anything down. I would take a bit of bread thinking it would help and 2 minutes later I would be in the bathroom puking my guts out. It was very come and go. I would feel fine for weeks on end and the wham! It never went away untill I had her either. The doctor did priscribe me something (cant remember the name) she said they treat patients in the ER with it for mirgraines or something, IDK. I never took it cause it was usually all of a sudden that mine came on:~( I hope you feel better soon and my thoughts are its a girl for you, lol!
My doctor advised Dramamine for Nausea (over the counter)... Not really sure that it works, but it may for some people. How far along are you? I am 12 weeks today and I swear i thought it was gone...went for 2 days without getting sick or nauseated and then today...SURPRISE its back! I have lost 8 lbs and havent gained a single one....I was sick with my first pregnancy for 36 weeks (until the day i had him)...so i guess i shouldnt get my hopes up with this one! Good luck...oh and also someone told me during my first pregnancy that a fresh cut pineapple would help? never tried it because i got so frustrated! Best of luck to you and if you find some miracle cure....please let me know!
Well when I was really nauseous, the thing that helped me the most was sucking ona hard candy like a jolly rancher, or a sour candy like those sour fuzzy peaches. That is the only thing that helped me out. I hope you find what works for you.
