False Hope

I had a blood test done yesterday and they didnt tell me right after the test was done what the results were.  I had to go to a lab... it was the first time I did anything like that so I just got the blood taken that was it.  I got a voice mail on my phone from the doctor today though after work... the results are in.  I have to wait till tomorrow morning to call them back and find out.  Its terrible... I just want to know now... I'm freaking out!  The other HPT today came out neg.  I'm thinking the blood test will too.  Would it be too early for an hpt?   tomorrow I'll be 11 days late.  Could impantation not have taken place yet?  Am I just in false hopes?  I'm so freaked out right now!!

Ladies i got the test back.  Its negative.  My breast are really sore and i'm 12 days late.  I realize that I'm not pregnant.  I'm so upset.  I just feel like crying.  I just want to get my period so that I can be done with all this emotial ****.  Thanks for all your replies.

Laura is on to something...now I am recalling the last time I had my blood done and I had it drawn in the morning and they had it back by 4...something to look into...

I think the blood test will give you your answer. In the meantime, they couldn;t get your lab results back today? I had my blood test at noon and they had the results back by 3? I don't know if this helps, but good luck!

Hmmm....I will share my experience with you so that you know where I am coming from and you don't think I am being negative or a nay-sayer...After my mc in december I got my january period and was sooo excited to be 'regular'.  We immediately began ttc and when february came around, no period...5 days late neg hpt...10 days late...feeling symptomatic in my mind of desperately wanting a baby and knowing full well that AF symptoms are often very close to prego symptoms I still really thought I was prego so I called the doctor for quantitative blood test (not a yes/no, an actual amount because in my mind I thought I was just one of "those" women who's body's take longer to show pregnancy...because that is what I wanted to believe) well, test results were neg., 15 days late I made an appointment with the Dr. and they gave me a urine test, neg...18 days AF came.  I am inclined to say, that the blood test will give you your answer, they are supposed to be much more accurate in detecting pregnancy as early as 9dpo (I've heard of) and by 25-27 days past ovulation which you would be if you are 11 days late, then you would be about 5 weeks along....so, unfortunately I personally don't think that you are pregnant but only the blood test will tell for sure.  Good luck!

11 days late is alot.  i would think that a test would come back positive but every once in a while some women take a while to gte a positive one.  the doctor will let you know.  call them again,
