Fasting?

When you fast for the diabeties screening does that include drinking anything but water? I've tired not to eat too much sugar this week. I go for my appointment tomorrow and was just curious if i'm not suppose to drink juices or tea or anything like that.

Nothing for 8 hours before the test. You can only have water.

For the 1hr screening you have to fast 2-3hrs.before the test...you can have water only

They said fast after midnight and my appt is at 8 30.

Nothing to eat or drink after midnight and my appointment was at 8:30 the next morning. I did that for both the 1 hour and the 3 hours test.
I fail the 1/hr but pass the 3-hrs, thanks goodness :)
