Fetal Movement

Hey! I was wondering when all of you have experienced your baby move for the first time. I heard that you feel flutters or fish like movements at first, so when should I expect to feel that? I am so excited about this and whenever I feel gas in my belly I sometimes think it could be the baby, but then I think I am way too early to feel anything. I am just about 13 weeks now. I had a friend who felt hers move at 13 weeks, so it makes me not want to count it out. Please give me some experiences! Thanks much!

I'm 12+ w. and actually got what I KNOW was a TINY kick the other day. It felt like someone flicking my belly from the inside lightly and low. But ive felt  "bubbles" since week 11 and can tell it's the baby cause it'll happen repeatedly for a few min. at a time. then its' like the baby is "sleeping". lol.

I felt my ds move at around 14 weeks.  It felt like a little fishy swimming around.  Gas bubbles is a good way to describe it as well.  I felt actual kicks when I think I was around 22 weeks but didn't see the baby kicking on the outside until about 26 weeks.  It looked like a twitching.  Then as the baby grows you see the kicks more and then you can eventually see the baby moving around, it does feel like rolling like connerethansmom said.  When you are really late in the pregnancy you see actual limbs.  I remember seeing the heal and elbows running along the side of my belly.  It's so wonderful except you will lose some sleep by the end.  I remember being exhausted because the baby would keep me up all night.  They tend to sleep during the day when you are moving around and then they are up at night when you are laying still.  I wouldn't let my fiance even cough because the baby would hear him and start kicking.  I miss that feeling.

Some have described the flutters as gas bubbles in your tummy.  They are not painful and mine are usually quick and sudden.  I feel like a swishing feeling, sounds so weird and they would be really low in your abdomin since you are 13 weeks.  Kicks and actually movement will happen later and there is no mistaking those.  You will be like "I was just kicked!!!"  Soon after you start to feel them, someone else will be able to touch your tummy and feel them too.  They will become more like a rolling feeling when your baby gets bigger and less forceful kicking.  I remember watching my belly move at around 25 weeks.  Very strange.  Is this your first?  If you are really in touch with your body, you could be feeling the baby this early too.

What do these flutters feel like exactly? Is there a chance that I could feel my baby move soon? So kicks come after feeling the little flutters?

This is my second and I am on the thin side.  I felt my first at 15 weeks and this one at 11.5-12 weeks.  I am now 15 weeks 3 days and don't feel anything consistently.  I started feeling my son consistently at 19 weeks.
