Fetal Pole disappearing???

Hey ladies, I just have a quick question. Is it possible to see a fetal pole one week, then an exact week later it'd gone?? Your not bleeding no cramps nothing. You were told you were 4wk1day when they saw the pole but not heart beat.. Then you go back and your all of a sudden 6wks but no pole.. Will I have my 7m/c or is it hiding??

From what I've heard and experienced - it's impossible to see even the gestational sac at 4weeks, much less the fetal pole.  The gestational sac is usually seen at 5 weeks (couldn't see mine until 5w4d) and the fetal pole not until 6+ weeks.  The heart doesn't start beating until the end of 5 weeks and usually cannot be seen until the middle of 6 weeks.

I'm not sure what happened at your first appointment, but from my experience, they were wrong.  I wouldn't be too concerned about not seeing much at 6 weeks.  Depending on the machines age it might not be able to see as well as some newer stronger machines.

yes it is possible. the pregnancy may no longer be viable unfortunately. what have the doctors said? if you have no pain or bleeding you should demand a re-scan in another week or so to confirm for definite either way.
best wishes
