Fetal activity.

I know babies are more active at night then during the day but is it normal that I can only feel him moving at night when im laying down and not through the day? I'm 22 weeks pregnant.

Not only do your movements rock and lull baby to sleep during the day, but it's harder to pay attention to any possible movements because you're busy focusing on the things you're doing. When you get to sit and relax, you're usually not focusing on anything else so you can really feel and really notice all those little kicks and punches (which are the BEST feeling ever!) Just wait till you can actually SEE your belly moving all around with those kicks and punches! Plus, at 22 weeks, baby is still small so you won't feel every kick anyway, even though he is moving and kicking all over the place.

Im glad you posted this. I'm 21 weeks and though I'm not feeling kicks yet, I only feel flutters when I lay down. I was thinking it was all in my head. Can't wait till I can feel the little guy kick!

So I should do kick counts now? I guess its pretty self explanatory but why do I need to do them now?

Thanks! When he is active it feels like he's having a fist fight with my insides. I never knew anything could be so precious!

As the previous poster said, yes this is normal. During the day when you're moving the rocking motion lulls the baby to sleep, so when you stop moving they wake up and are active. This is also why when you do kick counts in later pregnancy you should do them when you're not moving all over the place.

Yes, because you are actualy at rest with your body. Dont worry as the baby grows you will be able to feel & see it move. After the birth of my first I cried because I missed the movement so much.... Enjoy the bond, its the babys way if saying hi mom
