Finally found raspberry leaf tea :)

Omg so I been looking for raspberry leaf tea and couldn't find it anywhere. Well I finally found a store that sells it. Target, and it's literally right across the street from me. I am going to go buy it tomorrow but have an appt on Tuesday. My ob said I could start taking it at 38 weeks (currently 37+2 weeks) but if star the thinks I should hold out on taking it till my 39th week then I will. I'm so ready to have my son but I only care about the well being of my son, so if I have to wait then this momma is gonna suck it up till he's ready.

I haven't heard any bad stories from the tea. It does say to consult with your doctor if your pregnant or breastfeeding. My ob gave me the green light, I would consult with your ob/midwife/or nurse just to get his/her professional opinion.

Red Raspberry Leaf Tea has been a popular treatment throughout history for many different types of ailments and illnesses. Today, it is mostly used during pregnancy to help tone the uterus and promote uterine health. It is a natural and healthy method of keeping a woman’s body and uterus strong and healthy for labor. Although there are no scientific studies to support the purported health benefits during pregnancy, many women also believe that the use of raspberry leaf tea will help to decrease the amount of time that they are in labor. There are a few easy steps that pregnant women can follow to incorporate red raspberry leaf tea into their diet.

Well from what other mommies on here have said it helps soften the cervix. Some will start contacting and go into labor the same day they drink it, some won't.  It really depends on your body really. From what my ob told me it also helps sooth the labor process. I talked with my ob and asked questions about it before deciding to take it. I know other moms have done it before but I always like to consult with my ob first.
