When did you have your first ultrasound and when should I schedule to get my first ultrasound?

I'm going to get on medicaid as well (actually in the process of being approved) and then am going to apply for the pregnancy program at DSHS. I hope I can work something out where I can get frequent ultra sounds. I definitely want to see my baby more than 3 times! :) I'm so excited :)

I had my first at 9 weeks 2 days :)

It really depends on your insurance and your doctor. I'm on Medicaid and the only offer two scans unless more are medically needed. One in early pregnancy to see how far along you are, and one a 20 weeks for the anatomy scan. I've had three. One at 7 weeks, one at 20 weeks, and one at 28 weeks to check the position of my placenta.

With my son my first u/s was at 17wks and i got to find out the sex at the same time...this time around because i had a previous mc i have got my first at 5wk6d...it really just depends on the dr and if you have any complications...good luck and best wishes

They usually do an early u/s around 6-8 weeks then another between 10-12 then one at 20 weeks.

in the uk our first one is around 12 weeks and then 20 weeks. but i had one at 6 weeks and 16 weeks because of complications x

Well I just found out that I was pregnant last night and haven't gotten the chance to find a doctor yet. But according to my "I'm Expecting" app. Im 4weeks and 4days along. Congrats on your pregnancy :) I read that some doctors doctors don't even give u/s unless theres a medical reason. Personally I would like to have frequent u/s so I can see my baby and how its growing. :)

Have you been to see your doctor. They would normally give you a dating scan first up. I found out I was preg and had a scan thr next week to see how far I was. I was 5 Weeks 6 days. Then a scan at 12 Weeks for down syndrome and one at 20 for abnormalities :)
