First time and scared. :(

Okay, so a few days ago I took 3 pregnancy tests within 24 hours of eachother and all came out with a faint positive line. I took this to mean that I am pregnant and called and set up an appointment for April 10th which is when the doctor believes I will be 10 weeks pregnant. Just yesterday I started feeling slight cramping in my lower abdominal area as if I was about to start my period. A few hours later I started spotting. This morning I woke up and when I went to the bathroom a small amount of string red blood dripped out of me. I am still spotting/lightly bleeding and the cramps are still there, slightly lessened. Am I having a miscarraige or was I never pregnant to begin with? I am so nervous and worried. I have never been pregnant before and I have never had a period like this before. I keep reading online and every search bleeding and cramping with early pregnancy it comes up with signs of miscarraige. But the cramping is very mild, definitley no worse then regular menstrual cramps. And the bleeding again is very light and no worse then the beginning stages of my regular menstrual cramps. I am 25 years old and I don't have any medical problems nor am I or ever have been on any medication including birth control. I have had early pregnancy symptoms such as frequent urination, food cravings, fatigue and headaches. What could this be? I do not have a doctor so I have to wait for my appointment on April 10th but I am very nervous.

As long as you don't have any severe cramps and if you bleed alot than thats a problem. good luck! i hope everything is okay, make sure you take your prenatal vitamins.

I had spotting (browny colour) at the beginning of my pregnancy but it was barely noticable and the cramps where really really light and not constant at all.. I have seen loads of women on here who have bled loads and their babies have been absolutley fine.. I think some people are different.. really really hope you get good news and not bad news !! If your periods are usually heavier and your cramping is usualy stronger I would stay positive and try not to stress.. I also think it's a good idea to go to A+E because the 10th of April is too far away your head will be tormented with worry lol

Yeah its true. That could be it. But If it doesn't stop then u definitely need to go to the doctor. Maybe its not a miscarriage but it doesn't hurt to see what's going on.

I don't have a doctor. I called the place where I set up the appointment and they basically said the same thing. The blood is a light red, not brown. I have no idea how far along I am because they won't see me untill April 10th. :(

Also, my friend said that in the book What to expect when you're expecting, it says that during your early weeks of pregnancy you may experience cramps due to your cervix stretching and if it is occuring around the time you would normally get your period you may also experience some light bleeding or spotting. Could that be what is going on?

I've had 2 miscarriages before. One I was 7 weeks and one I had no clue how far along I was because all I took was the test and never got a chance to go to the doc before it happened. It was so early, it was just like a period. Are u bleeding red or brown? Red is not good and brown can be left over blood from ur last period. If u don't have a doc then go to the er and tell em ur situation. There's really nothing to do to prevent it from happening and there's never really a cause. Some women bleed thru there entire pregnancy. All people are different. So just go to the doc ASAP and find out what's going on. I wish u the best of luck.
