I took the gummy prenatal in my first trimester and switched to the Flintstones complete multi vitamin (the one that says complete DOES have iron) and has everything a prenatal vitamin has.. I compared them side by side. You just have to take 1.5 or 2 instead of 1. I don't know if it will be harsh on you're stomach BC I took the gummy prenatal without iron in my first trimester And when I switched I was already 22 weeks

Coming from a nurse. Iron is essential if u have iorn deficiency anemia during ur first tri and if ur not sure if u have that ur doc will do a chem 14 and they will be able to tell u . We r more worried abut iron levels during ur 2nd tri due to the baby more rapidly growing and bones beginning to fuse etc.

Try gummy prenatals for now if u cant hold down the others main thing at this part of ur pregnancy is getting he folic acid which those flinestone vits may not contain or contain enough of but fyi they do not contain iron. Ur doctor will most likely advise u to switch later to a different prenatal in ur 2nd trimester once the morning sickness isnt as rough.

I took iron and dha since children's vitamins tend to lack iron and that's essential.

Actually several doctors and nurses suggest children's vitamins for women who can't handle prenatals.  I've been tools numerous times by medical professionals.

She said they're great for women who can't hold down prenatals. At the start of this pregnancy, I had to switch over to tummies right away because I threw up my regular prenatals every night.

When I asked the midwife at my clinic about gummy prenatals she thought I was asking about flings tones and she said you could take those.
