Are you hispanic by any chance? Not being allowed to eat spicy food is a hispanic theory. My mom always tells me not to eat spicy food because the baby will be born with a rash. She's trippin. Dr told me its ok to eat it. But obviously you have to eat in moderation and not over do it.

You can eat chilly and nothing bad will happen to your unborn child. I ate spicy things all through my pregnancy and my 6week old hasnt been constipated at all. I breastfeed and still eat spicy and he is well with it.

I don't even know how they're getting that it would cause constipation in a newborn. They don't eat food. When we eat something it's broken down and the nutrients are absorbed through the umbilical cord and placenta. If that was the case Iron wouldn't be allowed in pregnant either because it's well know at causing constipation.

I have no idea where they get that info, most defiantly is not bad for you. At most would probably give you heartburn and maybe nausea.
