Last night I had a severe pain in my right side that woke up. I changed positions and it went away, but I felt sick to my stomach. I have not had any nausea or vomiting, but this morning I had some loose bowel movement, but I wouldn't say it was diarrhea. I called my OB and the nurse told me to drink ginger ale and eat dry crackers throughout the day and to call back if I get worse- which thankfully I am not. Last night I had some chicken (which I'm not sure if it was cooked properly since I don't know) and I am wondering if the chicken was a bit undercooked and is to blame for my symptoms. I know everyone handles food poisoning differently, but I just feel like I have an upset stomach right now without any other symptoms. Thank you in advance for any replies and please pardon the descriptive question.
At 22 weeks I got the stomach flu during my lad pregnancy. For maybe 8 hours I couldn't go a couple minutes without vomiting or having diarrhea. It was horrible. I couldn't even drink water or I would throw it up. Doctor told me that if it was under 24 hours they wouldn't worry but if I went over 24 hours to come in. My daughter is now 5 months and perfect.
The stomach flu is going around. If you continue to have pain on your right side you may want to check for appendix. But in all sincerity I hope it isn't the flu. I just got over it and it was horrible.
