For those of you who have more than one child

How old are they and how do they differ?  How are they the same?

My oldest, Daniel, is 3.5 years old and my youngest, Gil, will be 10 weeks old tomorrow.

While Gil is still very small, I'm noticing that he is different from his big brother in the following ways:

- He's got his daddy's Portuguese complexion...whereas Daniel has lily white skin, like me
- He didn't inherit my eye condition, whereas Daniel did
- He spits up ALL of the time - I'm constantly changing his clothese, and mine! - while Daniel NEVER spit up
- He is already pretty much sleeping through the night....Daniel didn't until he was 5 months old - and only because I "forced" him to, haha!
- He won't take a pacifier, but his big brother took one from day 1

They are both really good boys....generally easygoing (as much as I can tell about Gil so far!)  Gil is a baldy just like his big brother was (Daniel didn't need a first haircut until he was 18 months old).

love this post!

Reygan(10)- colicky as a baby, but at 3 months turned into the happiest baby ever!  SUPER early to do everything; walk, talk, crawl...  Had a vocab of 30+ words at age one.  We like to say she started talking at 5 months and hasn't stopped since!!  She is intelligent, tomboyish, outgoing, LOUD, and i have never ever ever seen the child tired!!  The funny thing is, she is nothing like either DH or me.  (I was the shyest kid in the world, and i'm still pretty quiet and laidback.)

Jesse(7)- was an angelic baby, sweet, quiet, sensitive, smart.  Average on all his baby milestones.  Loves video games, had to be "pushed" to play baseball (where Reygan LOVES it!!)  He is the only one who looks like me.  He's my Mama's boy. = )

Eli(4)- headstrong, stubborn, acts like his Dad LoL.  We say his "terrible twos" started around 6 months and haven't stopped yet.  Didn't talk until he was 2 1/2, but then he took off; now he is quite verbose!  He can be the sweetest little angel, but when he's bad, he's VERY VERY bad!

Cooper (8months)- his personality is emerging every day!  He is the most pleasant of the four, and so easy!  Never fusses or cries unless he's sick; goes to bed awake and falls asleep on his own; good napper.  I'm in love!

It's amazing to me how these little guys from the same parents are ALL so UNIQUE!!!  God is amazing!!

Elaina- turning 5 this summer
Abigail- 3
Zoë- 5 months

Elaina- highly sensitive like her father but looks like my spitting image. More compliant when asked to do something.
Abigail- personality is exactly EXACTLY like mine but she looks exactly like her dad. More stubborn then Elaina; doesn't always do what she is told.
Zoë- definitely wants to be part of everything, looks the most like my baby pictures

As far as how much they differed as babies there are so many differences.

Elaina and Zoë loved to be held 24/7. Abigail NEVER wanted to be held.
Elaina cried at the drop of a hat. Abigail never ever cried. Zoë is kind of in the middle. All of them were happy babies though.

Each so unique in her own ways!

My son Trevor is 5 years old, and he is very sociable, affectionate, and tenderhearted. He's extremely intuitive and sensitive with people, and loves to snuggle. But he's also very active. He loves to make people laugh and he will put on a show for anyone; I don't think he knows what "shy" is, lol.
He's also somewhat overly cautious about things and he freaks out easily--getting a band-aid off this kid is almost impossible because he thinks if you take it off from something like a scratch or a pinprick, he will bleed to death and die or something, lol. He's not the kind of kid that I'll have to worry about running out in the street or riding his bike without a helmet.

Greydon is 10 weeks old and I can tell he's going to be a little spit fire daredevil! He nearly kicked his way out of me when I was pregnant with him, and I had five weeks of preterm labor. He's a lot like Trevor in that he's easy going and not much seems to upset him. But he has a ready-to-go-NOW attitude all the time. He is ahead of all his two month milestones and you can tell he enjoys challenging himself. He acts like a "tough guy" and just gives a grunt or maybe a brief fuss if he gets mildly hurt, like an accidental scratch from me, or water in his eyes at bathtime.
Greydon seems a little less stubborn than Trevor, but more up for a challege. Trevor is extremely persistant and stubborn, but has to be encouraged to take on a challenge. Greydon seems a little more compliant and go-with-the-flow (for now, at least), but ready to take on a challenge at anytime.

Spencer is 7 years old (yesterday)
Richie is 3 years old (last Friday)
so they are a little less than 4 years apart
Pregnant with Marley and here and Richie will be 3.5 years apart
--I really wanted them at least the 3.5 years apart because I don't want to have to change diapers at the same time and Richie is such a good helper I figure he will help me with the baby when daddy goes to work.

-Spencer was born earlier and bigger. (they were both early but Spencer was a week and a half earlier than Richie)
-Spencer was sick a lot (ear infections, fevers, etc.) and Richie was never sick until he got an ear infection about 2 months ago.
-Spencer was very independent when he was younger and Richie is an over sensitive momma's boy (I don't mind though I think it is sweet) and seems to cry whenever he gets scolded over anything he does wrong.
They are an awful lot alike though too... They are both very laid back and lovey =) I love my boys!

Alex (girl) is 13
Abby is 6
Zach is 5
Gabe is 20 mos

Alex was a very compliant baby, entertained herself, had really bad reflux, slept thru the night pretty much fromt he start, she talked early, started writing her name early, did pretty much everything except for walk/crawl early.  She used a pacifier but gave it up easily around 18 mos.  Ate like ahorse and still does but she's not fat. She's always been a little shy.

Abby was never happy, always fussy if she wasn't getting attention, she never slept unless she was beside me or on me.  She was very demanding and threw major hissy fits if things didn't go her way (still does to a degree).  She was a headbanger...she would bang her head on the floor, wall, chair, whatever when she was mad.   She is a very picky eater, always has been.  Had a hard time getting her to give up her pacifier at 2.  She is more outgoing and likes to do goofy things regardless of where we are or who's watching.  Did most of her milestones on time, except talking..didn't talk until around 2 1/2-3.

Zach was a pretty easy going baby.  Always been a good sleeper/napper.  He used to like a lot of foods but has become very picky like his sister.  He's very sensitive about EVERYTHING.  He's also very shy.  He was the same as Abby with his pacifier...hard time getting it gone around 2.  As with Abby his milestones were pretty much spot on except talking...his also came at around  2 1/2 -3.

Gabe is a really good baby.  He entertains himself, rarely wants to be held unless he doesn't feel good.  He gave up the pacifier on his own at 5 months, wanted no parts of it after that.  Pretty good eater, certain things he won't eat but not as picky as abby and zach.  He has more words than Abby and Zach did at his age, but not as many as most kids his age.  He likes to show off at home but gets very shy or even angry if strangers approach him.

Alex isn't my DH's bio kid so it stands to reason she doesn't look like my other kids.  She has a short/med frame and light blonde, thick REALLY curly hair.  She also has really bad eye sight.  Green/Hazel eyes

Abby is tall, thin framed, long legs, big feet, thin, straight light brown hair.  Blue eyes, dimples

Zach is shorter/stockier, med framed, short legs, small feet, thick straight dark brown hair and greenish bluish eyes.

Gabe is tall and stocky, doc says he may outgrow all of them, medium brown thin hair, his eyes are brown around the iris and blue around the outside.

Funny thing is that even though Zach, Gabe and Abby look so much different, they look so much alike as well.  EVERYONE asks if Abby and Zach are twins and comment about how much Gabe looks just like them.  They get their eyes from my husbands side of the family, their nose and chubby cheeks from me.

Dylan is 3 1/2 and Logan is 1 week old today.

The differences I have noticed are Logan is more of a quiet baby while Dylan was much more fussy. Also, Dylan refused a pacifier, but Logan seems to like his. They look almost exactly alike, except Logan has slightly darker hair than Dylan did. Logan also likes smaller, more frequent meals while Dylan liked to eat all at once and wait longer, which made him sleep through the night better.

Can't really say much more on personality as Logan is only a week old, but I'm sure there will be plenty of similarities and differences to come. :)

Ethan is 4y
Hunter is 20m
Logan is 3weeks

As of right now ethan and logan are the same as baby's. Hunter was much more of a hand full and always spitting up and always wanting to eat, he wasnt sleeping though the night intill he was 13month! Ethan was 1month old and giving us 8hr.

ethan and hunter had no prob taking a pacifier, logan on the other hand does not care for them and only use it once in a while....Ethan could use any type of pacifier, hunter for the longest time only like the mum brand, and logan ONLY takes the smoother type.

Both ethan and hunter were late talker

All 3 of my boys have and still have a full head of hair, they all 3 look like there dad, but they do have my eyes...Hunter is are biggest boy, while ethan and logan are def on the smaller side like there dad. I am noticing those logan has more of a blonde tint to his hair almost redish, while the other boys always had dark hair for awhile...
