Frank breech at 32 weeks

Just went to my 32 week u/s and she is about 3lb 13 oz.  Dr. said she will be about 6 to 6.5 lb, slight improvement!  She is still breech with her butt down so we will see if she will flip in a few weeks.  Her arms and legs are right up against her face, so she is pretty flexible.  Her head is at 68% percentile.
Has anyone had their baby in breech position at 32 weeks, and what happened?  Do they flip eventually?

Thanks girls, I will def try to poke at her more often!  I am sure she will flip fo me, or that's the hope....I am terrified with the thought of a c-section...

There is plenty of time for baby to flip on her own. A close friend of mine is about 38 weeks now and her baby just flipped about 10 days ago, and has recently dropped. It's any time now for her!! So I will cross my fingers for you that your little angel cooperates and flips on her own. Getting the little one to move around can help too; by poking and rubbing your belly as BTS suggested... doesn't mean she'll stay in that position but it's worth a try. Best wishes to you!!

My youngest son was in the frank breech position from 32 to 38 weeks, I was told by my doc to rub my belly and aggrivate my son as much as possible to see if he would turn on his own, and he eventually did. They can also try to manuver(sp) her in the head down position from the outside, which is slightly uncomfortable, they had manuvered my son at 33 weeks but he went back to the breech position until finally turning on his own, and I used to rub and aggrivate baby by poking him lol and it seemed to work as he did change positions.

I hope your baby girl doesn't give you much issues and finally turns, and I hoe you have a beautiful and fast delivery.

That's some great info.  The doc diddn't seem too concern but on the internet it said from 32 week on there's not too much room in there so I am just curious.  My first came 10 days early so I hope I will know she flip on her own in a few weeks here.  I would rather feel some pressure than a c-section

She still had lots of time to flip! At this stage she's still small enough to move around in there. Its at about 38 weeks that they start to get really concerned since by that time only 3% of babies are still in the breech position. If however she stays and you do have to get her turned it honestly doesn't hurt at all (or at least it didn't for me). They let you watch on a screen the baby's position and then they massage your belly behind her back and her head and the baby naturally tries to move away and most of the time ends up flipping on her own. If you choose not to do that than most likely you will have to get a c-section since doctors very rarely deliver breech babies.

Well, she said she will have to do a c-section if she doesn't flip by then.  She also said she might try to move her from the outside but that sounds very painful.  Just wanting to see the chances of her flipping on her own.

Hi dollchina,

This is probably not that helpful but the only thing I know about breech babies is this: My sister was breech and my Mother delivered her vaginally that way. I don't think doctors do this anymore, but my sister was 5 lbs 7 oz. "ish" She is 40 years old now and fine. Hopefully the baby will flip, but if not, wouldn't they do a c-section  for breech babies that don't change positions/flip nowadays? Keep us posted. I am curious! GL!

Hey, glad to hear all is well! I really dont know much about breech, Im sure she has some time to flip around..her weight looks good too, see nothing to worrie about!! I have my next u/s on monday I cant wait to see how big they think he is now,LOL
