Free flu shot for moms

There are free flu shots offered for mom to be over 18years at riteaid. I am a bit skeptical since its my first pregnancy. Is it safe to get the flu shot? Will it cause any harm to me or my baby? And is the flu shot fully tested and stuff since its free?

Flu shots are seriously so pointless, when you get one you will get the flu because it put the virus into your body to help you "build immunity" or something of that sort. They recommend you get it while your pregnant but I refuse to get a pointless vaccination that will make me sick and put harmful chemicals into my body. I will vaccinate my baby when he is born with the nessesary vaccinations but something as pointless as a flu shot, no thanks... but that's just my opinion others might disagree

I was at my doctors about 2 weeks ago and he said I didn't need it cause flu seasons pretty much over .
I've never had a flu shot before and I've never had the flu either (knock on wood)

I got mine and never had an issue with it. The strand of flu going around right now is the one not covered by the flu shot. (Says my doctor) lol

My mom said she only the flu shot with one pregnancy and that's the only time she had the flu.. so I'm definitely not getting one
