Fresh post to replace Missed pills, antibiotics, early cramping - worried/confused
I've been to my doctor about this who said to wait and see if AF arrives and if not test so just wanted to get a second opinion.
We are thinking of trying for a baby soon, at the moment I am on the mini pill so first question is how long can that take to get out of your system?
Secondly i've been having a funny time recently and now wondered if I could be pregnant.
My last proper period (4 days, heavish flow) was on the 29th April. I was on antibiotics the week after and was warned they could affect the pill, especially the mini.
However, while taking the antibiotics I managed to miss almost a full week of pills ending 3 days after taking them. This I think may have conincided with ovulation as I noticed a lot of CM at the time. As we are thinking of trying we weren't too worried about missing the pills.
On the 14th May in the morning I noticed brown when I wiped only, I thought this odd as it was almost 2 weeks to the day I started my period. It got heavier with cramping (but not like when on AF at all) for the afternoon and the following morning but by the afternoon on 15th it was back to brown when wiping only. This stopped completely by midday on the 16th.
Ignoring this I would normally have been due AF on 27th May - today is the 30th and nothing!
Yesterday evening while relaxing on sofa I noticed I was cramping, almost like very mild AF cramps and was constantly up and down to the loo in case it happened. Which it didn't.
Today (30th May) in the early afternoon until now I have cramping again. It's now 3 days since I was due on AF and this is the second day of having cramps but no sign of her.
I also want to add that I have stopped taking my mini pills after the incident (as suggested by a few people) just in case to try and get back into a routine on next AF (as we weren't 100% set on trying now but if it happens oh well lol) but we also haven't used anything else due to thinking about trying soon anyway.
With all these timings and symptoms do you also think it may be possible?
I did do a test a few days after the incident by my doctors (and people on other thread) said it was too early if I was pregnant (which I know but its exciting and im impatient lol)
I've managed not to do any up until now and she recommended waiting til AF was a week late from the normal scheduled date (27th May)
Could I get some second opinions on all this as I keep searching on net and lots of people saying they were pregnant after something similar and lots saying they weren't so hard to judge what it might be until I should test again.
Has anyone else had this sort of pattern and found they were?

If that incident was a normal bleed (just abnormal if you know what I mean) then yesterday would have been my normal 28 days til AF appeared again.
Is it possible its too early to test still? I did mid-morning today and BFN.

OMG ME TOO! HAHAAH! I was just commenting one of my friends that today I hardly had no cramping! I did have some in the morning, but I think it was gas-related lol (sorry TMI). My nipples still hurt, not that much , only when I grab them, and my lips were feeling dry all day today. Weird isn't it? I don't know if I should blame it in a surge or hormones or what!
Wah. Had a break from cramping today but now it feels like i'm in full flow only body forgot the af! Lol
Girl I'm almost in the same position as you are. My cycle didn't get mess up cause of BC, but cause of stress/exercise and haven't gotten a period since end of March. For multiple reasons(I posted on another thread) I'm 99% sure I ovulated last week, so now I should be in the 2WW. But I've been cramping too! for the last few days it was a mild cramp in the left side, but yesterday night it cramped stronger in the uterus area! i was so sure i was going to get AF but it subsized after 20 minutes! i dont know whats going on either, i don't know what to expect, or WHEN to expect. Baby dust!

Many women cramp with pregnancy. Most think it is AF coming on. The fact that you are still cramping without any sign of AF can be a sign of pregnancy. With that said, you did mess with pills and that can mess with your cycle. The wait is horrible....I know! Good Luck on a possible BFP!
Still no AF (i'm still not sure whether my original AF date of 27th is valid or not after that spotting incident which is now helping judge situation)
And still cramping, it's been a constant cramp now since 29th May, not as bad as usual period cramp (which makes me double over even when I was on pill) but feels like it starting up - I don't normally get it till the day of AF though as almost like a 2 hour warning to get prepared!

God its gonna be hard waiting a week ...I really want it to be positive now! lol
I bought a pack of 5 tests so I can always try again so long as AF hasn't appeared.
I must admit after this scare (although not really lol) I reckon we are going to seriously try now as it just makes you realise how much you want it and how ready you are.

you messed around with your bc, which in turn will mess with your cycles. however, you coulld still be pregnant and should retest in a week.
Pah....got impatient and used an early test (10miu) from Access Diagnostics this morning and BFN
Bit disappointed now...oh well.

Yup definately late but still cramping today. Getting tired of running to loo to check now. I think i'm going to see if i can wait til wednesday to test as that would be a week late. Don't want to get my hopes up too soon. Getting annoyed with the cramping though, makes me think that i may just be really late this month.
Test NOW!!! lol. It should be positive since AF is definitely late. Good luck! :)
-Antibiotics can make the pill less effective and not taking the pill as directed can result in failure. So yes, both of these things can result in pregnancy.
-A home pregnancy test will be accurate about 14 days after conception or can detect pregnancy about 10 days after conception if a sensitive test is used with first morning urine (not everyone that is pregnant will get a positive as early as 10 days though).
-All your symptoms do not mean a thing as lots of other things can cause them (an infection can delay your period or cause you to miss it, for example).
-I suggest you test now. Buy a packet of 2 and if negative, retest again in a week. If you are pregnant, and got pregnant in the middle of the month a HPT "should" be pretty accurate by now.
