Haha maybe i'm confused, on who said it oh well.  Anywho....  Did you ladies know, that 85% of women actually have a bowel movement while pushing the baby out?  Ahaha,  I'm not kidding either!  The doctors are trained to deal with that, wipe away and push and they wont embarass you about it either!

Anywho, ROSA i'm going to check through the day while I can, my son is still in surgeyr right now, and should be for a few more hours!!  UGH!

Anywho, i'll check on ya, keep me posted!

No the measuring dosen't mean all that much, I measured big on my last 40 weeks at 36, I did go pre-term but he was only 6 lbs. If you have a short torso, you may measure big. You can measure 40 weeks plus and still be PG for weeks! Sorry! That baby will come in due time, I know it dosen't feel that way huh! OH fyi I never dialated early??? When I went into labor I went from 0-10! So it's okay that you havn't started when you hit active labor you'll dialate, whats the use in dialating to 1 or 2 and staying there anyways! I would try the nipple stimulation I have heard good results with that! Good luck honey! :)

I can't believe you aren't dilated!  You have been having much more contractions and pains than I am and I am 1 cm - I figured you'd be at least that or more!  AHH~  Try to get DH to have sex again - I know I have read your posts and he is worred about the little one - but I think that is in your best interest.  Maybe your doc can strip your membranes at your next appt - that could get things going!

From personal experience i WOULD NOT advise castor oil at all!!!!!!
It made me violently ill. I had to go to the dr to get something to reverse it and he said never to do that again as it can be dangerous for mum and bub,
nipple stimulation is good as is going for a run! also rasberry leaf tea softens the cervix and helps with dialation but if your baby isnt ready which its not your only 37 wks then nothing will help just let nature take its corse thats the safest thing good luck xx

I heard horror stories about people that used castor oil!  LOL.  One lady told me that she had to change Obgyn's after she gave birth... she used castor oil.  An needless to say the dr was down there while she was pushing... lets just say the baby was not the first to greet him.  LOL!  Oh my God.. I would die if that happened lol.  Good luck,  Anita.

I would stay away from castor oil. It is very controversial and I don't think you want to be under the influence of a laxative during labor if you catch my drift :)

So what about nipple stimulation at 19 weeks??? That wont cause contraction would it? You know when you mess around with your husband...lol

But yes castor oil hasnt had good studies but i saw it on a baby story last week and this woman was indian i think, she only took herbal teas and went natural but she was past 40 weeks and took it in the morning, and that night she went into labor. Its worth a try if your desperate. Im not sure on the side effects but it seems to work well. I would look it up on yahoo i bet you could find a lot of info. I dont have much experience on that part but ive seen different ways.

So that first one, lol ummm when I was in the hospital with my son, like two days before my water broke, my nurse kept ragging on me to do this, just so I would go into labor while she was there LMAO   But you know we tried that, maybe that's why my water broke two days later, who knows...lol

Did you doctor sweep or strip your membranes?

Nipple stimulation. Twisting or pinching your nipples releases your own natural oxytocin. A few studies have found it to be effective in getting labor going within 72 hours if your cervix is already ripe, but the method has not been well studied. And you shouldn't try it at home because it can sometimes cause prolonged contractions that could stress your baby and depress his heart rate.

Sexual intercourse. Having sex won't induce labor, but it can't hurt to try! Semen contains some prostaglandin, and having an orgasm may stimulate a few contractions.

Castor oil. Castor oil is a strong laxative and stimulating your bowels may cause some contractions, but no good studies have proven it to be consistently effective, and you're likely to find the effect on your gut to be very unpleasant.

Herbal remedies. There are a variety of herbs touted to be useful for labor induction, but their safety and effectiveness remains unproven.

Cause your man isn't doing it enough!  SMACK HIM!  LOL

OMG!  GEEZ!  I thought you could have been dialated to 1 atleast....Hmmm, well i'll do some googling on the cervix thing.  I'm a bit dumbfounded at the moment...lol  Didn't you say they moved your due date back 2 weeks?  So technically you'd be about 39 weeks now?  lol...
