Ginger safe?

Ive read in so many places that ginger is good for morning sickness, but ive also read not to take too much because it could be bad for the baby, to only use it to season food and not to drink ginger tea or to eat it. So ive quit using it but it was helping. Just wondering if anyone knoes anything about this?
Thanks

Ginger is very, very good for your body. Should have plenty of it during pregnancy and after birth.
In fact all Asian dishes for pregnant woman are heavy on ginger. They use it for cooking, in soup and tea. It calm your stomach and help take the chill out. So if your hands and foot are alway cold, ginger is good for that too.
Not sure I even heard of it being bad for you...

I lived off of canada dry ginger ale in the first trimester to help with my morning sickness, and baby and I are fine. My OB even recommended fresh sticks of ginger to munch on...I think it's fine.
