That is so cute njeosys ! =) I find it hilarious when the baby is moving like crazy and I want to feel the baby kick my hand. So I put my hand on my belly, and there is usually complete silence!
Lil' bugger! I can't wait until I can distinguish hands from feet and that little bottom!! lol.
I think your baby can tell. They can see light in the womb so if you're standing in the sunshine and put your hand on your tummy (assuming baby is even facing that direction), they could see it. Just like when you have your eyes closed against the sun and something walks in front of your eyes, you can see the darkness of the shape.
Also, babies can feel your hand when you poke at them. I would lay down and poke and roll my babies and I'd rub their feet, pat their bottoms (it takes a little practice figuring out head from bum). The head will bounce back when you push on it and the bum is squishy and will move where you push it.
My friend is pregnant with twins and they kick her hand away when she puts her hand on her tummy.
I put my hand on my tummy a lot because it always feels bloated or has a mild cramp.
I know that in later pregnancy when there isn't as much fluid or room for the baby and the baby is closer to the skin that it is a good way to bond with the baby since if you massage it or put your hand there the baby not only feels it but associates it with your voice so that its comforting to the baby once it is born.
lol, that's true...I still get perverts staring me up and down and then I put my hand on my bely and they look away =D, that's my way of getting them to not even approach me. SOme stupid guys just don't respect that a women is pregnant and engaged. Anyway, well I'm not sure...I'm 13 weeks and 4 days and the other night I had put my hand on my baby(I can feel the ball when I'm lying on my back) and put my hand on there, and felt a light wave movement as if the baby had moved and turned around or something. I dunno if it was a coincidence or if the baby really can feel my hand, but I have read that the baby can feel a mother's hand...I'm now sure if it's true at 3 months though
I am not sure! I think that women put their hands on their belly to let everyone know they're pregnant. It's kinda like a universal sign. :) Especially if they are kinda in that stage where you can't tell if they're fat or pregnant. And then I guess it's also like a comfort thing.
