HCG levels after m/c

How long does it typically take for the HCG levels to return to normal after a m/c? When I miscarried on 1/6 it was at about 9,000. When it was checked this week it was at 17.  How much longer do you think it will take?  I'm sick of getting my blood drawn :(

sorry for your loss.

I MC and had a d and c on Oct 12th 2007.  They checked my levels 2 weeks later and they were 37, then another 2 weeks later they were 7 and after that they went down withint a week.  SO it took me a little over a month.  I hope this helps.

First of all I would like to say I'm sorry for your loss.. secondly when I had my miscarriage in Feb, I was only 4 weeks, they think it was Chemical but it was never confirmed.. my first initial bloodtest was only showing HCG at 18.. four days later, when I had to go to get the miscarriage confirmed they were already down to a 5.

I miscarried naturally twice and it took almost a month to the day for my HCG to get down to zero, shortly after that I had my menses. I am so sorry for your loss.

I had my D&C on Nov 21st after I found out I had a missed m/c.  The baby stopped growing at 8 weeks.  My HCG levels were  75 on Dec 5th and back to normal by Dec 17th, PT was negative.  Sorry for your loss.

Hi.  I had a miscarriage in October.  I tried to miscarry naturally, but after a month and a half, my HCG was lingering at 400.  An ultrasound revealed some left over tissue that was still hanging on.  I opted for a D&C.  About 2 days after my D&C, I used a home pregnancy test to see if my body was still producing the HCG hormone.  Thankfully, the pregnancy test came out negative.
