Im only a teen but im freaking out .. i have sex with my bf reguly sumtimes we use a condom to save on mess but we do have unprotected sex a fair bit ... im on birth control but the week before he stayed at my place i had a really bad tummy bug wich was makeing me diorreah my brains out ... my dr said the pill would of flushed out of my system .. and my bf and i had sex unprotected about 7 times over the whole week he was with me the week after my tummy bug was over... and im freaking out .. we have had scares before i would take a preg test and it says negatvie wich was fine :) .. but im getting symptoms of pregnancy .. and i have also researched symptoms of pregnacys as well ... my breasts were tender they arnt as bad now but still sore to pressure ... i have been feeling sick during the day and headaches tummy pains and dizzy spells are driving me crazy and i can feel that my tummy is getting firmer than usual ... and the biggest sign that scared me the most is that when i took the pills for my period i spotted the first two days and then nothing !! was it because of the pill playing around with me ? or did i skip it .. i havnt taken a test yet coz i dont have anymoney at the moment .  But Could i be pregnant ???? .  . IM SO SCARED PLEASE HELP ME !!!!!!

everyone doesn't land up with a false pregnancy and it's risking your health as well.. so you gotta know whether you are pregnant or not.. i would suggest the same as sunworshiper( she isvery knowledgeable and gives very good and accurate info).. don't be hard at least on your body.. calm down first.. take a test with the first morning urine sample.. confirm it first whether u r pregnant or not and then we'll think about the next..

When I finally went off of birth control recently my period has been insanely off. The first couple months it was normal. The next couple were a couple weeks off. Then my most recent cycle was 75 days and only spotting happened! So trust me when I tell you to just be calm.

When I was in my teens I was having unprotected sex because I wasn't very fond of condoms. When I was 15 I also started a birth control pill so I was at least pregnancy safe. I had MANY stomach problems throughout my teen years and I only somewhat worried about the effectiveness of my pill. However, something I noticed was that the more I feared being pregnant, the more I would research and get worked up about it. Suddenly I'd start having pregnancy symptoms. I would of course take a test and it would come back negative though. Plus just the stress about not getting my period was causing me to literally NOT get my period! It was irritating! So what I learned is to take a step back and calm down. I was creating a pregnancy in my mind that didn't exist because active imaginations are curious little things. Stay calm for awhile. If you are truly that anxious, blood tests can give sooner results, but you're young and I've definitely been there. So going to the doctors to get bloodwork drawn up could be a nervous breakdown waiting to happen.

Any time you have sex there is a chance of pregnancy. You need to take a pregnancy test. If you live in the us you can go to planned parenthood or your local health department but it is very important to have prenatal care during pregnancy so you need to know if you are pregnant right away. Without proper prenatal care there are many risks to both you and baby. Please take a test as soon as possible.

u missed your period.. are u late for it by more than 7 days.. usually there are many reasons of your period being late apart from being pregnant.. some valid in your case are u were on medication which changes your cycle.. second u are really stressed out so that also alters your cycle and last the bc pill will also alter the cycle a bit.. so just wait for your period to come.. if more than 8 days late just go for a test to put your mind at ease but i would suggest stop stressing out first coz that would delay your period even more and give  u more tension.. take care.

Also, a lot of towns have free pregnancy clinics. You might want to google and see if you have one near you, they will do a pregnancy test for you for free, the one here in my town even does free ultrasounds.

Symptoms are not a good indicator of pregnancy as they can be due to PMS, illness or other reasons. So I wouldnt worry about your symptoms. I would worry about unprotected sex. It sounds to me like your body is out of wack from the stopping and starting of the bc pill and from being so sick. I would suggest taking a pregnancy test. You can go to planned parenthood or your local health department for a pregnancy test at a reduced fee or possibly free. If you have health insurance you can ask your dr to do one or if you are in school go to your schools health services to get a test done. Hopefully it is nothing more than your body adjusting to the bc pill again. Most pregnancy symptoms don't even show up until weeks 6-7 so don't stress about the symptoms you are experiencing. I hope you are feeling better. And remember in the future if you are ill and your bc pill is less effective always use a second form of birth control such as a condom.

did you take any antibiotics? true, antibiotics do "cancel out" your bc.
did you vomit after taking the pill? if you threw it up its possible it didn't deliver enough hormones to prevent pregnancy.
but its also very possible you are fine and you aren't pregnant. oftentimes we can get so worried of being pregnant that we convince ourselves we have symptoms..
and keep in mind too, that if you have tender breasts etc.. that could be due to your bc being a little wacko right now. you might not be pregnant.
all you can do is take a test. ill pray that you aren't pregnant, but next time, if you ever even question the chances of your bc not being effective, then use a condom or dont have sex !

its been two days after my period pill has finished and still nuthing .... im queezy and nausius almost all day and sleeping with these tummy cramps are exhausting ... i will try and get a pregnancy test as soon as i can but until i do .. to your opinion do you think its more likely i am pregnant ???????? HELP

Hi:-) There is a possibility you could be pregnant. Antibiotics and other medications do throw off your pill. Just try and relax. You have to wait at least until you miss your period (I'd say wait at least 5 days after) then take a test with your first morning urine. As far as the expense of the HPT you can get one from the Dollar Store. Are you in the states? Do you have a Dollar store near you? If you do then you can find a HPT there. they work just as good as the expensive ones. Hope this helps:-) Good luck and keep us posted!

hi... any antibiotics or some strong medicine which u took to get rid of the stomach bug might reduce the effect of the birth control pill..in addition u had unprotected sex.. so there are very much chances of u being pregnant.. if u are not ready for a pregnancy always use a contraceptive.. symptoms though are not confirmative indications of pregnancy. only a test can confirm that.. are u late for your periods?.. if u are more than 6 days late go for a home pregnancy test with the first morning urine sample.... that will put your mind at ease.. good luck..
