Has anyone spotted and got a bfp? Need hope

Hi ladies me and my hubby are ttc and this is only month 3 but I have been charting and I know I'm timing bd right so I'm just so sad that vie started spotting at 9dpo. My luteal phase is only 10days so it usually means the ugly witch is on her way :-'(
Have any of you ever spotted and got a bfp? I'm just so sad Im not pregnant yet after timing everything right.
My spotting was a very light light creamy brown almost beige just when I wiped but now has got a shade darker, not dark brown but more pinkish brown :-(

Need some hope

I still haven't started my period yet, so this cycle as of now my luteal phase is 12dpo. which is perfect as my luteal phase is usually only 10days. I have been spotting since 9dpo but my temps are still high :-) I am literally hoping and praying that I'll get my bfp in the next few days, but I am also prepared for the bfn

I really appreciate your comment :-) I have been worried about that :-( I told my obgyn that when I saw her 3 months ago and she told me to chart my temps and come back in 3 months (im scheduled to see her in jan) and if I wasn't pregnant by then she will put me on progesterone.
So Ive been charting and I spot usually a couple days before my period, but I'm not sure wether it's the vitex or not but I am now on 12dpo and still spotting, going from brown to pink to a light red, but it's def not my period. So I am just frustrated and confused.
But I do agree that 10 days is too short :-(

Actually 9dpo is a fairly normal time for the baby to implant. Ovulation occurs, and then it takes on average 14 days for your period to start...if the egg is fertilized, it will implant somewhere between 5-10 days after ovulation and so anywhere from 9-14 days post ovulation a pregnancy test should be showing a positive...so 9dpo for implantation would be spot-on :). No pun intended, LOL. the thing that indicates a luteal phase defect is if the entire phase (implantation notwithstanding) is less than 10 days. :-)

I don't mean to put a damper on things but Dr will tell you you at least need to have an 12 day luteal phase in order for the baby to have a good chance to embed properly. You made to need to go to your dr and discuss this. Because if the baby implants on 9 DPO then it might not have the chance to produce enough hormone to tell your body not to have your period. Sorry but I think you need to see your dr and maybe they can help lengthen that phase for you.

I'm with Leyisel, don't stress about it. This could be your month (fingers crossed!!!) or not, but it will happen for you..believe it will, and remember to have fun TTC...so often we forget to enjoy ourselves along the way. I hope I get to hear you sharing your BFP soon!!

oh jeez yeah implantation spotting not ovulation spotting (d'oh!) I'm so sorry my brain is on vacation still, LOL.

I believe I spotted at 7 and 8 dpo with my daughter, and tested positive at 10dpo. yes I had slight cramping.

I spotted at 7dpo with my son and tested positive at 9dpo...and I had SEVERE cramps :).

Wow crazy.
Do you mean implantation spotting or was it closer to when you ovulated? And do you remember cramping with the spotting?

Actually I spotted before 2 of my BFPs (both ended in live births one who is 2 years old now and the other is now 4 months old :)) and I don't remember if I spotted before my m/c or not...

but yes, I spotted (ovulation spotting...before I tested BFP) with both, and then early-pregnancy spotting with my son at 7 and 10wks.

so yes, it's possible...ovulation spotting is supposed to just be a few flecks of blood and with my son it was, but with my daughter it was several times on the toilet wiping and noticing spotting. and both times the "ovulation spotting" was pink for me.

Good luck!!!
